What did you do to your Mopar today?

A couple hours later I'm standing at the work bench and look down.
Thats like I'm installing the water temp sending unit. Had to order the reducer because the one with the guage is too big. Today I'm looking for a grommet and happen to remember I have another set of cheaper guages that I had bought. Guess what that guage set had with it, three different adapters for the sender! "Smack forehead!" Lol

Went to our local car museum (not open to the public) drove the 64 300 k convertible down there ,we had the show so that we could give away a benefit car donated by Alice cooper! Called the tow truck....grrrrr I ain't going to check it out till I'm in a better mood ! ............................MO

Forgot the photos from my earlier post about re-installing the tail light moulding. I restored the moulding and polished the "3rd" tail light lens. It's not a show car and not numbers matching. So, I had it powder coated satin black because I like the looks better than flat black. No criticism, please.

The black looks great - another great idea to file away for down the road. How did you restore the trim around the lights?

That '69 Turbine Bronze Metallic Dart GTS 440 might well be my old car!!! Have you got a point of contact at this museum? I've been extremely curious where the car went after I sold it in 1989!!!

I dismantled the front drum and robbed it of the parts I had lost and then cleaned them up before installing the brakes on the passenger side. Hunted up the drums and wire wheeled them clean and painted them semi flat black. Have tires on now. Both wheel cylinders were rusted and stuck. I hammered the guts out of each and cleaned them up so they work fine now. now I can measure and place the new spring pads.

Last Friday. Re-installed a scanned copy of my build sheet back in the same location I found the original (even lined up the spring marks). NOW I notice I have 5/9 on it instead of 6/9 DAMMIT! Now I gotta do it again, LOL.

Went to a car show & parked next to this. Guy (in the chair & his wife) was super nice & told me how he bought this brand new after getting out of the Air Force. Still had all of the original paperwork, window sticker, certicard...etc. He gave me a magnetic sticker "Look But Don't Touch My Charger". So I gave him my extra FBBO Sticker. Told him all about this site & he was very interested.

I contacted PST through a PM on the forum today. James got back to me this afternoon and found out the adjusting sleeves I ordered a week ago was just getting shipped today. He apologized for the delay and said this should have never happened. So I threw the old outer tie rod back on for now and put the rim on so I can get started on the passenger side conversion soon. Haven't set any adjustment yet so I don't know if this will be the final ride height or not.

I finished up the headliner in the 1955 Plymouth wagon. I painted the mirror and visor brackets in satin black. Since the original visors were shot from 6 decades in the sun, I repainted a pair of spare '71 Charger visors and installed those.

Last weekend I installed electric door locks. Today I had a Viper car alarm with remote keyless entry and starter kill installed.

I got the ramcharger hood out and laid the re-manufactured airbox parts on it and there is no way in Hades I'm going to use that crap. Where do I start? Some holes were drilled in the mounting flanges and some were not. If one mounting flange sits flush with where it gets secured the other side of the duct is 1 1/2" off the hood. I'm not kidding. The gap between the rectangular opening in the hood and the duct inlet on one side is 1/2" and about 2" on the other duct. The seals are about 1/4" thick; nope, not gonna seal. I already returned this kit once because the doors inside the ducts would not close all the way since the ducts were sagging in the middle.

I'm thinking I'll just paint the hood and scoops and put that on the car for now and watch for a good deal on an original air box.

Drove it to work today. When I checked on it around lunch, this was parked next to it! A '66 Coronet. I ended up running into the owner today on my way out. Great guy!

I shuffled out there and pressed a rubber bushing out of the UCA and then went back inside and collapsed on the couch. I don't feel good.
