What did you do to your Mopar today?

There's right and a left.

So the outer and inner are really the same tie rod? it's the left or right threading that matters?

if they both threaded the same way, the adjuster sleeve wouldn't do anything.

Right, that I understand. When I talked to the auto parts store Saturday they only asked inner or outer never said anything about left or right, so I ordered what are labeled as outer. So I take it the L or R at the end of the part number stand for left or right. So I need to order the L now. Thanks YY1.

Need 2 inners and 2 outers. They'll install either side, either way. Twist to adjust.

Went out and checked the fluids in the Coronet, including the rear axle. Was going to fix the gas tank ground while it was up in the air, but forgot! Got a fresh clay bar to get the Coronet shining like a diamond in a goat's ***! Started doing a nice, deep-cleaning on the car in preparation for our local COMA Mopar show on Saturday - our 34th Annual! If you want more information, visit our website at www.okcmopars.com

Had another day, like my Saturday meltdown. This time the car is at Motofab, and even Ernie couldn't undertand the issues we were having. It was supposed to come right back home.....but is now in his shop, till he figures some of the issues out. NONE of it makes any sense. He's a believer in the car "hating me" now.

Worked on the headliner in the 1955 Plymouth wagon.

Forgot the photos from my earlier post about re-installing the tail light moulding. I restored the moulding and polished the "3rd" tail light lens. It's not a show car and not numbers matching. So, I had it powder coated satin black because I like the looks better than flat black. No criticism, please.

Worked on detailing the Coronet last night. Washed it, then took the clay bar to it, then polish, and finally wax. I love the clay bar! Started using those a few years ago. That alone makes a huge difference on a 32-year old paint job. Tonight, I will finish the interior, tires and engine compartment. The old girl hasn't had a full detail in about 20 years! I keep her cleaned up, but now that she's running great again, she deserves the extra attention.

installed the left side spring relocation bracket and dragged the rear end out and set it up on some HD buckets so I can clean it up, rebuild the brakes. While it's out i'll get the center to center measurments for the leaf spring pads and weld them in place. And paint it.

I spent the day de mucking, de greasing, and cleaning up the old 8 3/4. Broke a brake line end. Got it all tidy and put some epoxy primer on then semi flat Rustoleum. I shined up the brass tee and the lines and put them back on. Next is new brake packages for both sides and get the drums turned. EDIT,,,i just noticed a problem. With the new spring pads moved in under the frame the stock brake lines have the bend to accommodate the U bolts in the wrong places, hmm....

Looking good, I hope mine looks that good one of these days.

Took the manifold off to see if I wiped a cam lobe, all is good. Then I found the source of the noise, spun a main bearing!!
