What did you do to your Mopar today?

Tack welding collectors to H-pipe. Can't wait to get out from underneath to weld in more comfort.

Bolted on a new set of EDE Series II valve covers today to button up recent addition of EDE Easy-Street heads. Best estimate by my mechanic - short of confirmation via dyno - this old girl is now turning out a respectable 550+ HP ... which is more than ample for my occasional cruise to the diner - keeping in mind, this is just a driver. lol.

Finished welding collectors to h-pipe. Getting better at laying down a bead. Will remove H-pipe tomorrow. Will grind out ugly welds and redo them.
Welding under car for a rookie isn't fun but progress. Anybody have experience with band muffler clamps and how well do they seal?

took sally to my buddys shop ...... and so it starts. ... won't see the sun till spring ..... with the original sunfire yellow paint.

I sat with it on the side of the road and cussed it out for about an hour

Stripped down the passenger door . . . got the body molding holes filled using my TIG ( turned out pretty good too )

Dropped the 470 in my 69' Dart and had to pull the drivers side header back out do to it hitting the Borgenson steering box. After 2 hours and 101 outside, I called it a day.....header is still in the car! Arghhhh!!!

Took my new motor out for its first drive. It was hot out and the engine got a little warm quickly so it was a short drive. I gotta tell you though, I am loving the trick flow heads. I only tested it a little but my 440 pulls GOOD!

Noticed an off-idle hesitation the other day so ordered a Holley rebuild kit. Figured I'd drive it around the block today then pull the intake to repaint and rebuild the carb. Went to start it, crank crank crank no fuel. Looked down the carb, no spray. Guess I got the kit just in time. Just got done rebuilding her. Pick up the valley pan gasket tomorrow while the intake paint dries.

We use band type exhaust clamps almost exclusively on 18 wheelers. They work great. Where the ends bolt together, they use a strip of wadded up tin-foil............................MO

I used the stainless steel ones. Useing them after the X pipe for easy removal. Actually using them at a slip joint, two different diameters and the band formed to it great. Re tighten after a couple of heat cycles.

Cornpatch can explain that crumpled aluminum foil.

Removed H-pipe today.

Modified the rear 1970 RR bumper brackets and face plates off of the rear of the Coronet. Had to raise the brackets up 2 inches and out 1 1/2 inches to the left and right because I added another 1 1/4" to the center of the bumper. Now the ends, after convincing them with a BFH, fold in to follow the quarter lines. Nice and flush. Had to redrill some of the bumper bolt mounting holes in the brackets to align with the new length. Also sliced the trunk floor pan along the center of the frame lip and across the front at the seam in order to place a new panel in there flush. Also finished the left side wheel tub.
