What did you do to your Mopar today?

So the wife was gone for the weekend, hmmm, what to do. I guess a picture is worth a thousand words.
So I came up short one head bolt. Anyone have an extra? The longer one under the valve cover. Thanks!

While the wife and mother in law are tooling around over in NH and Maine I got to work uninterrupted for once. I formed the panels I needed from 20 ga and cut them to fit along the back face. I made a cardboard( pizza box) template of the bolt holes along the edges of the tail light frame and transferred that over to the sheet metal. Drilled and then corrected slightly where I was off a bit, so now the tail light panel mounts to what used to be the rear face where the original lights mounted to. It came out pretty well. I have a couple of areas to still massage a bit and I want to make a cover for the inside so the rear of the tail light bulb holders are not sticking out into the trunk. It will have to be completely removable too. I tracked down the lenses and bolted them up to see how it looked.

Finished taking the rear end out and relocated the saddles to fit the truck.

The transformation starts tomorrow.

The entire drivetrain is going in my truck. Anyone want a complete 1978 truck drivetrain? 318/727/8 1/4

Tightened headers. Primed oil system, went to put distributor back in had trouble starting hold down bolt. Ran a tap in no problem. Put distributor back in and after a little moving hold down bracket bolt started. When it didn't it was the nut holding the bolt. Went to start the car no fuel pump. Crimp connector wire came out. Back in the car, now hit the key fuel pump goes fill carbs turn to start. Wouldn't fire. grabbed insulated pliers to hold coil wire wife hits the key got spark. Grab coil wire told wife shut the key off and got bit. Ok pull the cap rotor was a little black on the end, cleaned it. Think I didn't get the cap on right. Think it's a parts store cap and it's fussy to line up. The slot in the cap doesn't go down the side of distributor far enough.
Well got back in the car and it fire right up. Sounded like I fouled a plug or two. Will change plugs before a restart.

LOL, the wife was on my 'hate' list for a day way back when she fired up a fresh engine & didn't tell me there was no oil pressure until I asked her what it was showing; no harm, no foul I guess. Happy I thought to ask what it was showing!

Pulling apart rear seat area to gauge accumulated damage after 49 yrs, lol.

The shiny black metal at the back is a piece of aluminum that replaced cardboard when battery went in trunk back when racing.
