All done and got the ins claim done too...ugly year...

Sorry to hear about the crop situation, mother nature can be a bitch some times. Had a great year here for hay though, 4+ cuts.

Oldbee 3116's are vacuum secondary carbs no transfer slots. They were replaced in 68 by 4235 and 4236 carbs. I've seen 3116 carbs date codes into the 70's on eballs.

Took the '65 over to the exhaust shop today to fix the cracked weld on the X-pipe. Since it was cracked on two sides, had them cut it out and replace it, then found the tail pipes were needing replaced, so had them do it too. Now it's a little bit quieter in the cabin and around the sides of the car and the exhaust out the tail pipes is noticeably stronger as it is now exiting where it was supposed to instead of under the car. Still a little loud for my old ears, but can live with it for now. Thinking about replacing the Flowmasters under it with Borla ProXS mufflers - they have a good low rumble but said to be quiet when running. Anyone have any experience with those?

Seems I opened another can of worms on the wagon. It needed to have the spindles swapped-out to the 2" dropped units. Now, have those...and need new brakes!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR The car is apart in my shop, and it's looking like the E.A.T of the brake-kit is 4-6 weeks out. Bigger GRRRRRRRRRR!! This car will never leave. I sold it 9 years ago, and it spends more time at my place, than the owner's.

I checked-up on the `cuda and painter. Good news on that front. All the repairs and welding-up the antennae hole are done. It's completely blocked....and ready for a repaint.

XV Lower Radiator support, again attached at the very front of the frame rails.
Hellwig Swaybar #55903 right underneath.

I have this which I'll attach once I straighten out the old bumper, or get a new one. This covers another 4" in front.

Serpentine setup done.

Amazingly enough with the new pulleys, brackets, harmonic balancer and PS pump I had no alignment issues.

Cut and fitted the drivers side inner fender close out panel. Cut 3" + out of the center of the seat topper so the wings will line up behind the centered buckets.

I ran around with a friend today, to see what I could come up with, for wheels and tires on the wagon. Bought one corner to see if it would work...and how it looked [have to go next week to get the other 3]. Fits great, and I love the look off the BOSS-338 wheels. I couldn't get the correct size for my `cuda ragtop....so my buddy gets them on his wagon. This sucker is gonna sit low. We also threw the dropped-spindles in today. I'm waiting on the big Wilwoods, so not a real-big hurry.

Magnum Force drop spindles or someone else?

I'm gearing up to do the same on my car in the near future, drop spindles and a bigger set of Wilwood brakes front and rear. Might get new shocks first.

Magnum Force and PST appear to be the same units[I have both]. It seems one person is casting them for everybody. I haven't used better standard-type gas shocks, than the Bilsteins I've installed. I'm sure you could spend a ton more...but I'm not racing the cars in competition.

This weekend's project (when I'm not working OT). Refinishing my rocker moldings. 220grit and a long way to go.
