had an appraiser guy over to re-do the coronet since the hemi was put into it. we took it for a short drive, took some photo's and put it back in the shop.

WOW! My 95 Ram looked JUST like that!.....In 1997! Alas, 270k later, life has not been so kind. Frame is still good, but the body is about 2-6" shorter all the way around! But still original, un-rebuilt, 5.2 engine and trans! Hood flipped-up years ago due to the latch recall. Amazingly, my TAILGATE IS MINT!! Go figure.
After finishing with the tail lights I stripped out my air grabber and freshened it up...blasted and painted all the hardware, cleaned/touched up the fiberglass and re-installed...looks much better....the rubber was looking tired and some of the fasteners has some surface rust...not anymore!! :headbang:
well...i painted the bucket seat pedestals satin black coz they were lookin kinda ratty. painted the trunk area and wheel wells satin black coz it was lookin kinda ratty too. cut in a piece of trunk carpet...(6 x 8 gray...from lowes) . i got a big enuff piece to cover the complete horizonal surfaces all the way back to the back seat. cut around the wheel wells. surprisingly enuff...it looks great and way better than that plastic mopar thing with the WRETCHED pattern on it, and im sure it will absorb road noise.
fixed my turn signal switch....replaced the broken back up light lenses...replaced the license plate lens....ran a hot wire from the fuse box to the trunk ( still lookin for a mopar trunk light)... and put in a GM (..gasp) under hood automatic light. i think that was plenty for one day !:headbang:
i looked at it...contemplated taking it out today....decided not to....kissed it ,,,petted it told it loved it and i cant actually believe its mine...alllll mine
Sent off paperwork to Raleigh which should straighten out my title problem on my 70. NC is a pain in the *** on out of state cars. The big truck is still at the paint shop and the scramblers water pump has decided to puke...
I did the same almost thing that sawdoff did only different city... for title to the Ram.. Then thought being my car has been inside for awhile and a decent day thought charging battery, moving fluids along a good thing to do.. Looked up parts needed for truck, prices and any info to help.. Special thanks to Scott for an abundance of watch for and should do things... that possibly will keep it alive longer for another generation of Mopar truck lovers.....
Today i actually turned wrenches. With a little luck and about an hours work the beast will fire up. Fixed some wiring , added a new distributer, hyfire box and coil, straightened out some brackets, ran some fuel lines, etc. Also put the new header gaskets on. Man i cant wait. Think i'll head to my shop and find the pulley i need in my junk. Cant make my setup work without the a/c unless i find another w/p pulley.
Holy ****. I actually fired up the great pumpkin! We worked around some wiring issues and got fire. For a 318 this thing sounds mean. ok so its ran thru headers but still. 2 years and finally have it running. Paperwork should be back in about a week. Ive got to get that trunk pan in so i can have a gas tank. Then it'll go or blow...
