What did you do to your Mopar today?

I remember your posting after you bought it. Hopefully you've been able to put some miles on it up to now...

Yeah,
Again both heads are off
I see no smoking gun with the gaskets!
But, definitely, when it ran last, water (anti-freeze) in oil
Oh well....

Went shopping ....to The Summit. :D

Took the 65 out, looking for a vibration, feels like a driveline issue.Comes in around 45 to 50 and gets less at 60 and above.Car only has 192 miles on it.4.10 gears, automatic.Pinion angles are good, swapped wheels and tires for the heck of it just to see, still there.Gonna pull the driveshaft and have it checked.Car was apart at a bodyshop for 10 years.Moved around allot have hunch drive shaft may have got hurt while apart. Annoying but challenging.Back on the rack !

That can be difficult to troubleshoot!

Overall in looks to be of good quality, got it in record time as it was just done for stock before I placed my order.

Finally got around to modifying (slice n' dice) my MP fan shroud to fit the bigger 20ish inch dia. 7-blade fan that I pulled off a '77 440-equipped RV. Years ago I got the mopar shroud and 5-blade fan/viscous clutch package mancini's used to peddle.. the clutch was too long to fit with my radiator, and the Hayden shorty was too short... So a few months back I found a clutch and fan off of an RV (if that's not heavy duty then I don't know what is LOL)
The clutch worked with my five blade fan, it just never seem to pull enough air at idle. The 7-blade was too big for the shroud but I finally got it in...much better airflow now

...and then a rush job to replace the alternator. Started it up to check the new old fan and with smoke and squeals the alternator decided it was done. Thanks to my local NAPA(which is a distribution hub) and some quick memory help from chargerpat and the dudes on FBBO it was only a 60 minute setback..

Called about a Hunter brand 4 post alignment rack listed last week on craigslist for $1000.

Said there was no interest so they scrapped it ?? :(

Called a steel building manufacturer/fabricator. Currently, prices are up 10% because of tariff worries/etc. I'll wait it out while I explore other options.

Started cleaning, clay barring, polishing, and applying a paint protection product to my SS22L9R. Will finish up with carnuba wax afterwards because I am A-retentive. Paint finish is still bright and shiny after all these years. Car was originally polyglycoated by the dealer and I kept it waxed it when it was driven regularly. I'll post pictures after I am finished detailing the interior and exterior.

Set the rear tires on the floor for the first time since October of 2014.

Brought the ‘65 home from the shop - had the transmission rebuilt, the electric pusher fan reinstalled on the radiator and the left hand torsion tightened a bit to get the ride height up even with the right side. Moved the shifter back about 3” as the ProRatchet is shorter than the MegaShifter was and it was a reach to shift it every time.

Next up going to install a 95 amp Powermaster alternator along with a newer style electronic voltage regulator and get under dash to bypass the ammeter.

Once that’s all sorted out and working, the MSD box and coil is going on it along with a good tune up, new plugs, wires, etc.

That will keep me busy for a few days
