Finally got my trans pulled apart. Have to wait until Matco or Snap-On guy shows up to get a "good" bearing puller. Oh, and bought a new Hays flywheel on EBay.

Oh yes. I did the work at my pal Rick's garage to use his welder. I have the Black Epoxy primer and Chassis Black in my garage. Just a little gray primer to keep it from rusting until I can shoot it.

Got some oil in the motor, installed flex plate, balancer bolt, pulled the valve covers to check rocker geometry. All looks well.

AMC was adopted by Chrysler with the purchase of Jeep/Eagle in circa 1987-ish.

Replaced the ragged old glove box liner with a REM unit. Fit perfect. And even a new glove box light!

Easy peasy when you know what you're doing.





Wish I knew what I was doing. All and all only an hour, and a few band-aids.
