What did you do to your Mopar today?

OUCH !! that cost ya! Probably won't crack before this Winter, but when it does, be sure to seal up cracks before water-ice gets in them ...the death of asphalt...........................MO
I'd be pissed if it cracks anytime soon. 4 " of base and 3" of asphalt compacted .It was expensive 4200 sq.ft.. Old asphalt was suppose to be 2" not 1.5 to 1.75".

Pulled the grill and blacked out the radiator support panels as well as the adjacent inner fender panels. Looks SO much better.

this long thread thread has even given me a little extra motivation to keep alive :luvplace:
got off work early cause of the shitty weather so I decided to break out another door from my stash of them
strip all the green the paint off of it down to bare metal
and start beating on it for some dent repair
better then dealing with rust :D

So whats the low down on this one? Maybe i missed it earlier....sorry. Looks like a cool project. We like A bodies too!

You didn't miss anything. I just picked it up last Thursday on a trade for a D100 I had. It is a 1972 Gold Duster. 318 auto car. White with Gold interior. Had a snakeskin vinyl "canopy" top too, but that was long gone. Needs quarter repairs and lower fender legs. It will be for sale once I get it rust free and in primer. It may even be running by then, the original drivetrain is in it. I love resurrecting so I'm going to continue to pick up bodies that need the steel repairs. You can't save them all, but you can save a lot.

Finally ordered my new axles for my narrowed rear end for the Belvedere

- went with Moser . . .
 
I installed braided oil lines to and from the filter in the 1955 Plymouth wagon to replace the original hard lines. This will enable me to pour the trapped oil out of the filter housing when I do oil changes and not leave over half a quart of dirty oil in the system. Where the fittings go into the block made for an extremely tight fit for the starter, but I got it in. I reused the original 45-degree (or 135-degree fitting depending on your perspective) drain fitting at the block, but I think I'll need to take that apart as that one is leaking. It was leaking before, but I hoped thread sealant would allow me to reuse it without issue. I'll have to dig around on Ebay and try to find new 45-degree fittings. I do have one more new 90-degree fitting and if I have too much trouble finding a 45, I'll use that.

Dad put a factory side stripe kit on his 72 Gold Duster...
Not too bad for a 79 year old...:thumbsup:
