What did you do to your Mopar today?

Talk about a "little" bit of difference on the part we pull out . . . and the parts that go back in our cars . . .

How about the rear end in the 67 Belvedere . . .

This is what the rear end looked like when it was pulled out of the car . . .
( think they call that "rust" proofing the rear end - so it won't rust the metal . . . )

This is what I've got narrowed 3", powder coated, some single stage, and all put back together . . .

Another view . . . need to get my drums painted now . . .

One more view . . . the snubber is in the garage - forgot to get it bolted in place . . .

Went to a car show this weekend and saw this really neat wall hanging . . .

And picked myself up a new hat . . .

Finally had time to confirm fitment for a 440 Source fabricated aluminum valve cover for a 383 with stock ported heads.

I called to ask them directly and was told that they would not fit, so I bit the bullet, ordered and tried anyway as I like the way these look and they are less than others and made in the U.S.A.

Biggest worry was clearing the distributor, but like other that have these or similar (INDY) covers it just clears with just a little less space than the MP valve covers.

Work will continue to smooth out the welded seams, then off to get powder coated with a new air clearer.

Continued with the tear down. Boxing storing parts. Want to get it done before the rain comes.

Helped my friend diagnos an electrical problem under the hood of his 69 Hemi Charger. Took this picture from inside his garage.

you gotta love a pack of Chargers!

@conv67bdere, I really like that color on the rear end housing! Distinctive for sure!!!

@Larrry B., not to rain on your parade or anything but please hold those fabbed covers up to the sun before you put a lot of work into them. Out of over a dozen sets that have crossed my bench over the years, all but TWO sets had light showing in the corners. "Cleaning up" those welds might open up a whole can of worms my friend.

Thanks for the heads up but I've considered that so I'm moving slowly and checking as I go. Mostly all by hand without power tools. Welds on both sides are pretty thick too.

I even have a solution if that happens that I'm pretty confident will work.
