What did you do to your Mopar today?

Installed new custom high pressure power steering line. Old one was weeping a bit from the crimp on the gear box. This one is much shorter and fits much better.

Shake down drive #2 today, putting about 50 miles on the car. A very satisfying feeling knowing that you rebuilt or restored every part on the car and installed EVERY nut / bolt and it still gets you home!

Drove it. Isn’t it sweet when all the numbers are good, and the ac is blowing COLD? Doesn’t get much better than that.

I bled the brakes. And got the air out that was causing to be pedal to be spungy. For the life of me. I can't figure out how air gets in? But no fluid loss. I've seen before on other older manual break cars. Just not envisioning how that happens? Is a leak so small that air can pass but fluid cant? One would think pressure would be more likely to expell. Not extract into system?

Air sucks in on the "back stroke" easier than fluid leaks out on the pressure stroke.
Must be. Because I see no evidence of any leak anywhere. But being 50 years old? Probably plenty of seal points that could be a potential suspect.

Scrubbed and cleaned my grille. masked and repainted the black and then got it installed. It's coming together!

Bolted the dash frame/pad into the ragtop. Tomorrow it goes out for some wiring....

Another early morning drive, this time with the wife. Left just after 4 a.m., took almost 2 hours exactly at just over 90 miles. 94-95 maybe..

Headed north on the 101 to Kanan Dume Rd. then to PCH and out to Leo Carrillo. It was still dark when we got there.

Left just as the sun started to peak behind us.

Took Malibu Cyn. back passing Pepperdine University, pulled over briefly to look at the canyon, and of course my car.

Took Mullholland Hwy, great drive at about 5-5:30 am except for the fog.
This particular part is know for all types of vehicles driving (speeding) through; 2, 3 & 4 wheels, economy sport, vintage and modern muscle to exotic super-cars foreign and domestic.
That turns into Mullholland Dr., then to Topanga Cyn. back to the valley.

Can handles great, just need the buckets and harness to make it better.

Very nice Larry, sounds like a great spot for a cruise.
