I watched my body man prep the Satty for paint. No wonder Graveyard cars and others use so much skim coat.. Couldn't believe how many little dents -ripples there are. I don't think it will get paint before Saturday--just as well because he won't do a hap- hazzard job... Got home to see the new complete " Vintage air" system arrived. ..................MO

Finally installed! I was so preoccupied on installation and setting up, I put all back together for test drive and forgot to snap a pic (dumbass, I know)

I’m going to try my old valve covers and see if they have enough clearance, I’ll snap a pic or 2 then!

But what a difference with a good set of rollers!

I continued tracing the dash and body wiring. Today, I found a bit of mess where the modular plug for the dome lamp should have been. So, here are photos of what I found and what the modular plug should look like. I was going to cut out the factory modular plug from extra wiring I have in the garage and splice it in. Instead of creating four splices, I'm going to use a Weatherpack terminal.

LOL. OK. I put the tracks in backwards, narrow part towards the front. So two things are wrong. They're pitched forward and they don't move back all the way. I'm not a tall guy but only a little person could drive it as is. Easy fix though.

Took the buckets out and swapped the tracks, work perfectly now. Also installed a humphugger center console/armrest. Color matches the seats perfectly and it fits right in between the two buckets tight without even using any velcro. I think it looks great !!!!! Took the car for a cruise around town too!!

Beautiful interior! I also have white much like yours from the factory, white door panels/armrests and the upper part near the glass with black carpet. Seeing yours done gives me some motivation to get mine there eventually. Center console looks good there too.

Today, with the iffy weather, I skipped taking the '55 Plymouth to the Mason Dixon Mopar show and stayed home and continued to work on the Charger's wiring. I put a weatherpack terminal into the dome light circuit to replace the missing factory modular plug. No idea why that was missing. I also cut the tach wire and put a weatherpack terminal on that inside the engine compartment. I even finally figured out where the console shift indicator light should have been connected. I found in the factory wiring diagrams, hidden at the back of the accessory wiring diagrams, an illustration showing that I should have had a long orange wire running to the right kick panel. That explained the super-long wire my "hot rod shop" had hooked to the back of my tach. Since my tach was from Charger Specialties and not from the factory, I finally realized it was odd that the wire providing 12v to it had a factory part number. That's when I realized it was my missing wire for the console shift indicator light. So, I dug out an old dash harness from the garage attic and cut off the ash tray lamp wire and spliced that onto the end of the wire that had been feeding the tach to replace the factory plug that had been cut off.

If you can do it yourself, do it yourself.

Pulled the secondary diaphragm off my carb, I knew it was not right . Sure enough I had the rubber in a little cocked and no good. Replaced the diaphragm changed the spring and took it for a ride. It works now.....for sure

Removed battery from Satellite. Hit Costco for a new one.

Measured the cam for my 426 Hemi trying to ID what Mopar Purple cam it is; measure it with a digital dial indicator and came up with .546/.538 which doesn't match anything I can find.... its definitely a Mopar Purple cam but which one seems illusive.

I spent another day tracing wiring and I think I finally got it beat. I was stumped trying to find the three-way black plug to plug in the yellow wire from the map light. Eventually, I checked one of my extra harnesses and found it should be about 15" from the passenger door jamb switch. Then, I realized it was hidden up in the dash between the ashtray and glovebox. So, I disconnected the door jamb switch, pulled the wiring back until I could access the black plug and properly wired the map light. Then I pulled the wires back. I must say, that seemed like a stupid place in the harness to put that plug. I needed two Packard 56 male terminals to complete repairing the radio plug and, of course, only had one. None of the auto parts had any. So, I'm waiting on Amazon Prime to send me a package of 25.

Finished up seam sealing the Charger, I'll bet the freakin thing can float now....
