What did you do to your Mopar today?

Took the '73 for our Sunday grocery run. Had to get some 93, so pulled into the station and got a few nice looks from a few ladies... of course the wife didn't appreciate that too much. Now that I have my exhaust leak fixed, it doesn't sound too bad out those glasspacks... but I probably should get some real mufflers on her soon.

Also hooked up the door jamb switch for the dome light, it wasn't hooked up. Took out the mercury-switched light in the trunk, gotta figure out how the original wiring was run up to the light (somebody cut the hell out of the harness back there).

On Easter Sunday, I gave the Green Monster a wash. When it was all cleaned up, it looked and felt like heaven to me... :hello2:

hope you wrote down the mileage before you dropped it off. i know if i was a kid...heck, even at 42, i'd be taking that thing for a test drive if it came into my work. hope all goes well.

nope...didnt write down the mileage....i tend to trust people....( my past tells me i shouldnt,,,,but i do). im sure all is ok. im hoping to pick it up sometime today and dont worry....i know every inch of that car and i WILL give it a good lookin' over!

Cool topic.
I've been working on the brakes of the Charger. It was a 4 wheel drum car when new. Over the years I changed a few things. The first was to add 11" discs and the power brake booster/master cylinder from a 75 Dart. Later I upgraded to the 12" Cordoba discs. In 2006 I added the 11" rear disc brake kit offered by Dr Diff/cass Eslick. The system worked great unless I was driving in stop and go situations, due to the lopey cam.
In the last few weeks I have had 3 different master cylinders in the car in an effort to get good, consistant braking. The first swap from the power setup was a new unit I got from a pal. It gave a firm pedal that I expected to feel great on the road. It was terrible! I doubt that it would have been able to skid on ice! I tried a non power disc/drum M/C spec'd for a 75 Dart. It was better, but I still wasn't quite happy with it. I called Dr Diff and got an aluminum 7/8" bore unit spec'd for 4 wheel discs. As i have learned, master cylinder bore size is really critical in a NON power application. I have the brakes bled and i am ready for a road test. Too bad the roads are as wet as Seattle here. I don't drive this car in the rain!

Got the new tach installed, fixed the dash and dome lights, and set the

timing right. Went to Amoco and put $50 of 100 octane in her.
Man it feels good to have her on the road!!:3gears:

got her washed and put the new BFG's on her today...she drives great!!

Looks real good djais, Hey what size are you running on the front (tires)? Im kind of looking around needing new front tires so im a bit curious on the BFG's...

Today I made an as$ out of myself...
got "pulled over" for spinning tires....cop..never ask for my drivers license...just asked about the car.
* is it restored?
*what is under the hood?
*is that an original 4 speed car?
*what does it turn?
& etc.

:eek:ops:

I took my whole interior out to take to the uphosltery shop tomorrow... dismantled the instrument panel and halfway thru the dashboard. Wished that I would have taken the dashboard apart before spending so much effort taking out the dash pad, seems like it would be a whole lot easier with the dash off the car.
