What did you do to your Mopar today?

Took the RR to work today, coming over a hill at 70, running smooth passing cars in the slow lane, looked beside me, FHP in a blacked out charger. I smiled, waved, he jumped in behind me, hit the u-turn, lights and went the other way! Man I thought I was toast for sure. I was in a 55. Gotta love Mopars!!!!!!
Sonny, hope you didn't get a ticket!

Readjusted the valve lash again ( Harland Sharps) I think Its close enough to right this time. Took it out for a run around town. Cruise nights start next week im ready enough to show up.

Cruisin'

Went to the first big cruise of the year. I promised a better pic of the new wheels and tires. These were taken at a cruise today. I'll take the opportunity to remind everyone to be cautious around open hoods. You'll notice the Cobra next to me has the hood open. The owner's wife had her hands around the hood opening when the hood slammed shut. The hood partially latched which made it very difficult to free her hands. Not sure how badly she was injured but she was in a great deal of pain.

Today (sunday) i removed my windshield, dash, and steering column. And was able to sand away the rust on the floor and primed it. I accomplished a lot.

Sweet Bee!

Last night I did some work on the 66.

I had been entertaining running the lean burn on the 87 roller 318, because it ran great when in the donor car, and I didn't feel like changing the intake.

Well after about 3 hours of looking ta wiring and vaccum diagrams I realized that one of the reasons I got back into this hobby has because these cars are "easy" to work on...and that aint "easy".

So I decided to start stripping off all that extra wiring, and get ready to pull the 2 bbl inake and prep a used performer.
After I got the a/c comp off I discovered the h2o pump bearing was bad. Better now, than later.

At least I can now clean the front of the engine, paint it, and all the brackets, and it will all be clean and pretty and have a new water pump. Just means longer before it runs.

Also finished attaching the 2 bolt m/c adaptor and reinforcing bracket.
of course, the last and hardest to get at nut won't start threading- maybe the stud is turning. Anyway, I AIN"T doin' all that again, so 5 is gonna have to do.

The cruise was at Bennigan's in Vineland. There's usually four cruises each year at this place.

Yesterday i put a new water pump on the Ram, finished with some anti freeze today and took it for what turned out to be a almost 50 mile drive to check it out, and got a new battery for the tractor as its grass cutting time, water pump and new 02 sensor has the truck up and running good.. no more check engine light... Thanks to Mr. Poppa Smurf for the code reading info!

Finished installing the carpet, installed the seats, installed the kick panels, dressed up all the wiring, repainted the steering wheel trim gold, and trimmed up the headliner.

Gotta love them Cragars. My favorite wheel along with the old school Keystone Classic. I like a car with more tire than wheel, not like the new stuff they have today with wheel and rubber bands. That is one great looking Bee, maybe some day I will have my 70 Bee done, already have the Cragars.

Put the trans dipstick back in after welding up the mounting tab to the tube body. Also installed new U-Joint.... Put trans cooler lines back in yesterday...

Finally going to get some music in my Charger after owning a silent car for over a year. Got tired of looking at the non functional AM radio and the dangling wires where the previous owner ripped out his under dash cassette deck when he sold me the car. Went to best Buy a got a car deck on sale. Then $20 for the tray to install it. Just hoping the speakers still work. It even has a USB port and a place to plug in IPods for when I have the kids with me. Going to burn a few CDs with some good driving tunes. Figure Copperhead Road will get lots of play:
Now Daddy ran the whiskey in a big block Dodge
