Sweet Bee!
Last night I did some work on the 66.
I had been entertaining running the lean burn on the 87 roller 318, because it ran great when in the donor car, and I didn't feel like changing the intake.
Well after about 3 hours of looking ta wiring and vaccum diagrams I realized that one of the reasons I got back into this hobby has because these cars are "easy" to work on...and that aint "easy".
So I decided to start stripping off all that extra wiring, and get ready to pull the 2 bbl inake and prep a used performer.
After I got the a/c comp off I discovered the h2o pump bearing was bad. Better now, than later.
At least I can now clean the front of the engine, paint it, and all the brackets, and it will all be clean and pretty and have a new water pump. Just means longer before it runs.
Also finished attaching the 2 bolt m/c adaptor and reinforcing bracket.
of course, the last and hardest to get at nut won't start threading- maybe the stud is turning. Anyway, I AIN"T doin' all that again, so 5 is gonna have to do.
