With the help of FBBO I finally got my door pads installed. Then I snuck the car out between rainstorms and made an "essential trip" for....uh...soup? Yeah that's it, officer...

Now take them back off along with the door weatherstrip & upper pads and paint the inner portions of the door shell black.

Got the Glasstek hood and EMS Hinges on today.

Still have some adjusting to do but it closes, back and arms need a break so later this week I'll get it dialed in and get the hood latch on.

Will ponder placement for the Quick-Latch hood pins, I may consider putting them in the same place the hood bumpers are located for convince and positioning on the hood will look ok.

I cut loose the hunk of gutter I needed for the spare section and cleaned it up, trimmed it to fit and tacked it in place.
Then, I placed the trunk lid on it and crawled inside to check out how much Clarence I have. Made some measurements and placed some lines, got back out and sat around with the next section in my lap, thinking about it. The next bit is the seal rail from left to right with the seal surface curving up and around to meet the lip coming down. Where to cut...where to cut...? So, I ran out of cutting discs and grinding discs so stopped to think about it some more. I get one chance to cut this thing loose from the donor correctly. Measure 6 times cut once....when building **** from scratch there's no roadmap. Takes a bit of consideration...

Changed 7 plugs today, saving fun and games on #7 cylinder for tomorrow. Hemi with PB #7 can be a chore, socket down the hole 3" and 1' extension ratchet loosen plug. Then remove piece by piece, putting a new plug in can be a challenge, see what happens.
Had Autolite AP64's a platinum plug. They are off my list of plugs, if they have 4k on them I'd be surprised. Don't remember when I put them in but car sat from 2006 until 2015. Only put on 200 or 300 since 2015. Here's a couple of pictures of the #2 plug all were mostly the same. Comments on condition, running Mopar electronic with an orange box I've had it on for 30+years.

Pulled the oil pan I bent in the middle changing engine mounts. I'll straighten it while I'm waiting for the new gasket. I tried one of those paintless dent repair tools to no avail. Yes, I used a 2x6 block of wood but the pan dented anyway. It's an aftermarket 6 quart dropped pan.

I sprayed my engine bay, assembled my grill, grill frame and trim and started on the sound deadening.

Went and looked at it, thought about trying out that new 3 in 1 carb spacer, but went back inside instead...

Changed #7 spark plug, that PB booster makes it a pain. 1 Remove air cleaner assembly. Drop spark plug socket (regular socket won't fit) down tube, 3" extension on 1" extension ratchet wrench. Unscrew plug, remove ratchet ( fun time)remove 3" extension without dropping 1" in the hole. Remove 1" and hold spk plug socket and remove that with sp plug. New sp plug put 1/4" hose on tip put it in tube carefully start threading. Once started remove hose and put plug socket in hole without foam insert, if it stays on plug you'll know why. Now put 1" extension on 3" extension so that 1" extension goes in the tube first. Tighten plug, remove ratchet, now the fun pull 3" extension and grab 1" extension remove 3" extension while holding 1"extension. Pull 1" extension so you can hold sp plug socket. Remove 1" extension and then remove sp plug socket. After all that crap thought maybe a fine cable or fishing line through socket drive and up the outside to make it easier to remove everything, next time.

I use 2 sockets to do all my plugs.A big long one that allows me to stand UPright.And a shorty set up like yours for #7. The 2 sockets,,,,,,one has the rubber insert to grab the plug to remove and the other without the insert so when the plug is tight the socket comes out without getting stuck on the plug and comes out with the socket.

Pulled rear carb on Satellite to see if things were crapped up. Carb was surprisingly clean since its been on there 40 years. Replaced gaskets and accelerator pump plunger. Tomorrow set/check float height and drop and button it up.

Working on the hood today. Reattached the inner and outer skin. Cured up bitchen, no more rattles or oil canning. Hoods solid now

Put on the valves covers that I scored this winter, oil change, timed motor

Welded in place the trunk seal rail, bolted on the latch catch, and set in place the inner panel. Lot's more fooling around to do with little pieces but proof of concept is nice to have, finally.
