What did you do to your Mopar today?

I finished up the trans cooler lines, loctited the caliper adapter hardware and scribed the front tires so I can set the toe in, once the GTX is back on the ground. I like how the black hoses and fittings are less visible through the grille than the stainless hose with red/blue AN fittings.

Done rolling around under this thing for a while...

Pin stripes! This was last weekend, today getting the trunk in order. New spare 215-75-15 since it has the same diameter as my rear tires.

Spent yesterday (Sunday) afternoon under my wagon, installing new air shocks to see if they compensate enough or if I have to buy a new set of MP SS/D leaf springs to replace the 20 year old sagging springs I have now...

Did some tuning on the carb...and field-tested the sure grip (yep! Still works!).

Added a driveshaft loop. US Cartool from AMD. Fits pretty good although I had to use some of my own hardware.

Found and fixed my vibration by removing the polyurethane transmission mount and gone back to rubber.
Also installed a 2 field alternator along with a 70 up "Adjustable" voltage regulator.
It is a Transpo C8313 (E-Bay) and worked perfect with a minor adjustment I now charge 14 volts instead of 15.8 with a standard 70 up parts store regulator.

Forgive me, but was that a class requirement for racing? it seems to me the X-pipe would suffice for the physical needs....

Nice looking setup, though. MUCH cleaner than any of the old relics I have
it's a requirement for running slicks but I just wanted it to avoid pole vaulting myself into the fence.
Decided on drag radials so by the rule book I shouldn't need it to run.

A friend started running his original E body original car. I suggested he put a loop in it. Didn’t do it soon enough. Took out the original transmission and I think injured his foot. Car wasn’t original any more.

Another piece to the puzzle complete. Put on the trunk cover. Then I had to add a bit of lift to the rods. I said it once I'll say it again, The easiest way I have ever adjusted the trunk cover torsion rods.

Wow Never thought of that! Thinking outside the box! Paid good money for that tool. Might as well use it to it's full extent. Some of the best money I ever spent. Someday I hope to utter those very words about a lift. Someday.

Any tips on adjusting the trunk torsion bars without turning the car upside down?

It’s still on my to-do list…

Pile a bunch of cushions in the trunk to lay on. Belly down and get in there as close as you can. Maybe cover everything with a plush blanket. Trying not to scratch anything. Spinach. Don't forget the spinach. Your going to need strong fore arms. lol Did the set in the RR. 80 version. Trunk not as deep as the B-bodies. Less of a reach. Watch the fingers.

Still working on my non-B project. The 3" chop is almost done. Pushed it outside the shop to get a good look at it.

I ordered a Hurst billet pro shifter and an old school pistol grip shifter handle for my 2010 Challenger, and I also bought a new M&H rallye dash wiring harness, and a new Tic Tock Tach from a fellow B bodies only menber for my 70 Daytona project!

Absolutely nothing......
I'm in DMV limbo which can feel
every bit as bad as paint/body limbo.
Dealing with government entities
can and will try anyone's patience.
At 68, it's difficult to jump thru those
hoops. But there's no quit in me.
Passed my level 3 vin inspection.
With the Covid thing, our state's
DMV has changed their method
of operation to appointment only.
Took a month for a level 3
inspection. Now waiting another
month for an equipment affirmation.
(lights, horn, e-brake, seatbelts, etc.),
and it's gonna be another month
before it's titled. Have to send in
all 12 forms for the bond.
(word to the wise....don't buy
anything with a vin/serial attached
without a clear title. Bills of sale
don't hold as much weight as they
used to).
Been working on this for close to
30 years.
Arrrrghhhh.....20230212_174901.jpg

DMV WHAT A NIGHTMARE !! Get this,a few weeks ago I went to register my 63. The girl had to go to her supervisor 4 times for answers.
One problem was they couldn't find the MSRP. The car is 60 friggin' years old ! What the hell do they need that for ?
Another was "Your serial number has no letters and not enough digits.... :BangHead: Almost a hour later I got my plates.
