What did you do to your Mopar today?

Bought a 12 ton hydraulic press from Northern Tool. Got my UCA bushings pressed out and new ones pressed in. Got the pivot shafts on my LCAs pressed out. Will weld up a washer to the sleeve and press it out today or tomorrow.

Not today but Saturday, put in my new 4 speed shifter from Brewers and my new leaf springs. Man is it nice to shift gears without all that slop and now not getting all hung in gears. Next up, new wiring harness from Year One for engine bay and lights. Wish I could afford the dash harness but not yet, save some more for that, these things are so damn expensive.

Diagnosing a few problems from a no start....

all three components, fuel, fire & compression... did you check the fusible link too ??, didn't it all start {or not start in your case} with a no fuel getting to the carb problem 1st... I would start there, maybe fuel pump, fuel filter, carb, floats, pick up in the tank, sock on the pick-up, crap in the bottom of the fuel tank, collapsed or clogged or rotten restricted fuel line, clogged vapor line going back to the tank, vent clogged not letting the tank breath, etc..... did you try to see if it would get fuel up-to the fuel pump, filter or even the carb with the gas cap off ?? Good luck Pops

Maybe Coil, ballast resistor, points & condenser if you still have them, bad electrical connection, bad ground, bad battery, starter relay, corrosion in the bulkhead connection on the firewall... I'm just spit-balling here, not actually knowing your exact combo or actual problem...

After getting the K frame down it took about 4 hours to scrape off the 47 years of road grime/tar with a gasket scraper, oven cleaner and a wire brush took care of the rest.

Yeah & yet more welding grinding & sanding/sandblasting probably too....LOL... good luck

What needs doing? We'll have a wrench party.. drink a few beers and put some Plymouths back on the road

took out my GTX and gave it a drink of Sonoco 100 fuel. At $8.49 per.
A half tank made it kinda drunk with power.:eusa_angel:

the "aroma" of that fuel sets off my alarm in the garage after I park it.

Maybe it is slightly running on the rich side.
Touching 3 carbs, I feel outnumbered. I will have to find someone who really knows them
to have it adjusted.

But I had fun today. Must have been a lot of mopar lovers out there. I did a lot of waving back to a lot of folks on the
drive..

Matt

99ss I'm in no hurry... I was referring to or trying to, make a lame joke about what your doing to your car, sand grind patch sandblast etc., not mine, thank goodness, I'm not still at that point of the build, all I really need is $$$$$... But the "Beers" sounds really good thou... My car is actually drivable, pretty much drive it around the neighborhood every weekend, still needs stuff done, finish my custom headers, sand prep & paint, install new suspension stuff, new SSBC disc. brakes, some trans work & I actually have most the parts... I got an infection in my damn shoulder/trapezium muscle, after helping/working @ my buddies place, every time I try to do anything it gets inflamed/swollen... I'm not even sure how or why I got the infection either, But damn I'm getting old & really slow to heal...LOL..., Dr. says "it'll be at-least another month, before I can do too much of anything", probably....
