What did you do to your Mopar today?

I did a bunch of measurements and placing getting ready to do some welding, Hopefully in the next few days ill be on my way for some blasting sand and some other things and get back at my 69 in-between getting wood ready for winter, it snuck up on me last year a little... hate to speak of it but its all part of my summers. :happy3:

early in the morning I polished bumpers, and blower and valve covers, getting her ready for a show on sat. Went to take her for a test drive tonight UH OH a massive fuel leak! Got that fixed. went for a rip... had a valve tic. and came home took valve covers off... maybe just a sticky lifter. I found an ACORN!! like just the shell under the valve cover... neat...
Tomorrow new vc gasket set and a can of BG moa hope it goes away. Fun Fun Fun

upskirt?? lol

ooooooo the Glenlivet XXV...wow that must have cost a pretty penny!

Not as much as that Balvenie 30..Which you cannot get anywhere now..I think the Glenlivet was 375 euros, but the Balvenie 30 was 500 euros! I'm not sure I will be opening these any time soon. The price is skyrocketing on both of them.

Very Nice!!! We were at the Edradour Distillery and after the tour I was wandering through the gift shop. I tasted their 10yr and it was a bit raw tasting to me so I thought I would see if they had a 15 or 18 yr available. No 15 but I found the 18. The price was just a bit out of my league... It was £300 for a 750ml (fifth). Converted to USD it was $500!!!

As far as collecting, I think I would rather consume rather than keep!

Jeff

Used info from 98 Snake Eater's post to build some Hood prop extensions, and installed a new K&N filter to the bird.

Got the step-side running and driving!

Replaced all the hard fuel line and hoses with 3/8 from the other donor truck, rewired and remounted the electric fuel pump, and relocated the fuel can to inside the bed.

Interestingly, last week I found an Attwood 10 gallon fuel cell in the dumpster at the warehouse.
Looks to be in OK shape, but missing cap. I replaced the O ring for the pickup tube, but still couldn't get the pump to suck gas up the tube. I'll revisit that later.

Stoked to be driving something old again, even if just around the block.
I also put on a correct, trailer package style mirror, and a non-rusted hood.
Next is resolving what I think is a sticking caliper, and then it'll pretty much be road worthy.

It's running MUCH better with this carb than the last one.
Idles at 800 with 12" vacuum, and more importantly, starts after a stall.

It wasn't today (it was Wednesday night), but for the first time in several years, it was Personal Powder **** on MY OWN CAR. :D << happy dance >>

Ever have a project that just fought you all the way...
I wanted to try out a 26" Champion radiator with the Ford Contour dual electric fans in the Coronet.
I got the Radiator and fans no problem. I ordered the electrical connectors for the fan, and after two days got a message that only two were avaliable, so I had to reorder just the two from one source and a single one from another.
Then I went to fab up a simple bracket to hold the fans to the radiator. The radiator had nutserts installed for a shroud, but no instructions to tell what size bolts fit the nutserts.. After three trips to the hardware store to get the correct fastners, and parts I thought I had, but didn't, I finally got the fans mounted. FWIW, The nutserts screws were M6x1.0mm, and the bracket was just some 1-1/2" aluminum strap.
When handling the radiator, I noticed the aluminum straps could use another screw in the center, so it would not be so flimsey.
I went to drill a hole for the extra screw, and managed to hit one of the radiator cores with the drill bit.
So, I epoxy repaired it and let it dry overnight.
Today, I go to install the radiator/fan assembly and it won't fit. The aluminum strap I used to make a nice mounting area for the fans, made the radiator just a bit too wide where the strap on the pasesnger side was hitting the frame rail, and the drivers side was just hitting the battery tray slightly. So I pull the radiator out and put it on the work bench. I turn around to look at the battery tray clearance and I head a thud! I guess the weight if the fans tipped the radiator off the workbench and the radiator hit the floor. I inspect the radiator, and it looked like the hit was just the upper mounting bracket, which was easy to straighten back out, but then the fan assembly comes loose... The impact broke the plastic mounting tabs on the fan shroud.. So after taking a moment to calm down and not just destroy the thing, I look it over and make a upper and lower brace to support the fan/shroud assembly.
Anyhow, after several trial fitments, and some clearancing of the brackets, I get the radiator in. Some more tweeking of the radiator mounts to get the thing bolted in, and finally, it is in the car. I hooked up the radiator hoses, and filled it with antifreeze. It seems to be holding water, but that's where I stopped for the night.
Now I just have to wait for the electrical fan connectors, install the A/C condenser, make some brackets for the power steering cooler and resivor...

Lets see.........pulled it out of the garage and cleaned the windows. Oh and then I drove to a car show at a Harley dealer. Had a nice time. Ron

Another rainout... but I did go by and stop in to see the old girl... fixed the roll up door and dropped off about 30 pounds of copper wire and some related lugs and heat shrink.... I need a break from the heat and rain and headders anyway. Hmmmm but I do need to get a propane torch rig for the soddering and heat shrink... and maybe heat the headers some to see if they cool and stay put.... I have them where I want them but I have to go further so they will spring back to there and not back where they were originally but there is no room... heat cycling will help but I'm not sure if it will be enough... and if I heat the inner pipe I may buckle them and make it worse... so I will only heat the upper long tube which is bracing up the rest... just answering my own post.... so if I heat the one tube that has the strongest effectiveness on the rest with the least amount of risk to the others... the headders are wrapped and I don't want to damage the wrap.... I purposely made them the hardest thing I also have a quick ratio Pittman arm and I idoler arm on the car..... like an ARR cuda would have... so far the screw jack from a 90's Gmail car is helping and my floor jack is missing it's handle because one end is stuck in a tube before the collector and the other has wood blocks stacked on it on the crossemember by the rotation bar socket.... I need to get my big factory starter in their first before I get too ahead or my self... the passenger side barely clears the factory oil filter.... my regular one is smaller and it hits on the torsion bar but it's clearing the steering.... as it sits now if I punch the gass it will lock the steering. Or if a motor mount fails... hooker super competition on small block '67 b body 4door...

Pulled everything front end related out from the Road Runner today, going with powder coat on the K-member new upper A arms new lower bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends.SAM_3003.jpg
