What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

4 hours of pushing this crap again and it's still coming down...

After work I set up for my daughters Christmas recital and finished up my reloading/work/computer desk/bench thingy.
I'm putting nutserts in for my presses so they're removable and it'll be blinding but it was free, a 50" wall mounted computer monitor/TV. Wife is happy to have office space, I'm happy to have a gun bench, but mad she'll be in my room.

Maybe she'll boob flash you occasionally.
I got the other three barrels in holes today. Decided to just getrdone! When I get the soil to fill them, I'll turn them right side up. They are in upside down for not to keep the kids out of the holes and any critters too. My honey is going to do her Feng Shui for the layout of the pipes. More holes in the near future. I'm glad we got 8+" of rain currently this season. Keeps the sand moist so it does not collapse back in from being dry. The area we live in is one big ancient sand dune, no dirt here. Trying to grow things in the sand, with the exception of natives, is a waste of time/money/resources.

Well, I haven’t been doing much car stuff lately because of this project. It’s a bedroom suite for my daughter, who uses a wheelchair. Her current room is just too small for her to even turn around in, and let’s not even touch on transferring her from her chair to a shower chair. Her new room is 13x20’, and it will also include her own barrier free bathroom with a roll in shower. With Snowmageddon on its way, I’ve been thrashing from sun up to sun down trying to get the trusses and roof on so I could dry it in and tarp it so the snow doesn’t sit on the underpayment. I’m not a big fan of shoveling the roof just to do the shingles.

After reading your story, I wish I lived near by, because I would be right there with you brother to get this project completed. Good luck on getting it dried in and god bless you sir.

Well it snowed today, no school for my daughter, got the ole Poo out and I think we burned 3gallons of gas on the track around the house, that kid loves to snowmobile, trails are closed till holiday rifle hunting is over, might make a lake run as soon as I get new carbides, lost one somewhere, hope I don't suck it in the mower deck in the spring. Somehow lost my pics!

Thank you Charles, I really appreciate your message. The room is a much needed upgrade for our whole family. My daughter is 24 years old, when she was younger it wasn’t such a problem when she was smaller, but now she’s a full grown adult and her mobility is now a much bigger problem. Our biggest concern is transferring her from bed to her chair, and into her shower chair. Her current room is carpeted, so using her lift is not possible because it doesn’t roll on the carpet with a full grown adult hanging from it. I’m trying to address every concern with the bathroom, a solid surface floor, and her own door as a second point of egress, before I get too old to do something like this. God bless you sir, I appreciate your sentiments!

Rescued a pooped/cold humming bird.
On way to truck after work the other day I noticed a 'spot' on a wall that turned out to be a gassed little birdy.
I picked it up & she tilted her head back with the most pitiful, barely audible chirps.
Got her in the shop, wrapped her in a rag & sped home to the heater.
I thought she had died when I looked at her in the house as she didn't open her eyes or move at all when relocating her.
While she warmed by the stove I fetched in a feeder and checked her every few minutes. In about 15 minutes her eyes opened and there was movement.
About 10 minutes after that she revived & flew to the kitchen window where I hung the feeder.
She landed on my hand a few times then I transferred her on to the feeder perch where she spent a nice warm night.
The next day I came home from work when it got sunny and put her & the feeder back on the apple tree where she sunned herself & the took off with a flurry of very loud, boisterous chirpings.

She is a beautiful young lady and only deserves the best. Merry Christmas to her and your family. I built a room similar to the one you’re building. Some friends and I volunteered to help out a family with very similar issues. The young man was born with cerebral palsy. We built his room with vinyl flooring so he could be rolled with ease. We put ceramic tile in the bath area with detachable shower heads. The floor was sloped so no door was necessary. Also put in his on private egress in case of an emergency. Keep up the good work.
You will get it. Merry Christmas

Got the wife to try Delta8 before she wrapped presents... Im still laughing.
