Sightseeing in Bermuda all day today. At sea now heading to Bar Harbor Maine. We'll arrive there on Thursday.

MTed the dishwasher then worked on a Moser fab 8 3/4....setting up the gears today and about done. This whole rear end has been a hassle....mainly because the customer doesn't have a decent budget and wants me to cut corners but then lets stuff I did for him last year rust up because he 'stored' it outside. Nice set of axles rusty and the 8 3/4 case rusty too. Hate doing the same work twice because of idiot stuff. Can only imagine what the housing looks like but he didn't bring it over so I don't care. Shortened it too last year and it was pretty nice looking when he picked it up. Oh well.

Then it rained like crazy for about an hour! The rain gauge shows 2 3/8ths".....and knew it was raining a lot since my carport behind the shop had water running over it. At least it's cooler now lol

Finally had an opportunity to ride my motorcycle to work.

0% rain chance today. 20 yesterday, 30 tomorrow and into the weekend.

If you have time, whale watching tour at Bar Harbor was a lot of fun. They have morning and afternoon trips of 4-5 hours. The harbor itself has a lot of shops and its not too bad if only one cruise ship is in port, but it gets a little crazy when there are three ships there! Regardless, hope you have some fun there.

Well, i wen't to one of the self serv wrecking yards that are local, that i probably haven't been to for 5 or 6 years.
(Long story)
What i wanted to buy, was already picked clean off the car.
Oh well, can't get everything.
Other yards will most likely will be having 40% - 50% off sales for the Memorial Day weekend.
Know of one more oldie, to check out.

Cut the damn grass for the 2nd week in a row. At least I can do it all in an hour and a half now vs 8 hours. Wile E kept a good eye on me the entire time..

Climbed into trusses to look for a leak that started as it was "30%" raining yesterday afternoon, then up on roof.

Can't see exactly where it's coming from.

Grrrrr.

Last one was where the roofers didn't use long enough nails in the fabricated roof vent they made.
One end was coming up. Easy to spot that one 15 minute repair.

Went over to a friend's yesterday morning and trimmed the limbs that were hanging on his house. He had a mild stroke late last year and has diabetes to boot and isn't getting around too good these days. Also trimmed the low hanging limbs that was over the driveway. Need to do the same thing here but mine isn't as bad as his was. Then about 7:30 in the evening my next door neighbor wanted me to come and look at a section of his fence that fell over. The thing isn't even 3 years old yet. Seems to be the neighbor on the other side of him built up a rock garden and used the fence as a border and rotted the posts so I helped him stand it up and brace it until he can get it fixed right. That other neighbor also has a pool and the overflow pipe on the pump points at the base of the fence too. Never seen treated 4x4 posts rotted that fast before. We've had a good bit of rain lately and his pool is at maximum level and could see where the discharge had eroded some dirt.

Doing some cutting in with the push mower in areas where my garden tractor has a hard time getting in close. Also doing some edging since it hasn't been done in months and the edger isn't being too cooperative. Guess it'll be the weed eater to the rescue but man, the edger does a much better job.....

trying to find the energy to finish up a little plumb and level on my new shop so roofing and siding can start, these projects keep getting tougher, and with the
Mecum run to Indy, my *** is about whipped, old age is creeping up.

I know the feeling!! Just broke the pull rope on the edger. It was getting frayed anyway but need to pick it up and put it on a work table instead of sitting cross legged on the floor to work on it. Once on the floor, getting up isn't nearly as easy as it once was.
