What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I stripped an engine block back to bare metal, primed and repainted it to go with the car.

I changed the rear brakes on my wife’s daughter’s car. Bought one of those kits that rotates the piston as it compressed it. It worked really well. Harbour Freight for the win.
Rear discs? Got a pic of the kit?
......or thrown over the fence....

That was on the local news when it happened lol. I bet the TV was fine.....

. last night had a great time with the owner of my Charger I sold 4 years ago. It was at Petty's garage getting a new set of edelbrock heads and a F.A.S.T fuel injection, replacing the problematic Fi-tech six pack. Went for a ride in her, runs strong. Body looks the same as it did 4 years ago all holding up very well. My old car is the last car going thru Petty's garage, they are closing there services. Got to meet the King shook his hand, He signed the car and the rest will be history in my world. Thanks to the new owner Lucas for the invite.

Very cool!! Not many in their mid/late 80's get around like him....

Ya, a very sincere guy always smiling. The family runs all the buisiness there including the Museum, I pretty sure that will remain open.

I had to replace a front wheel bearing hub assembly on my 2014 Ram 1500 Express. It took me four hours to do the drivers side a year ago, last night I did the passenger's side in less than two hours. I figured out how to change them without popping the ball joint and dropping the control arm. I paid to have them done two years ago, and the drivers side failed after a year,so the tire shop paid me back for the one that failed, but not my labor. Now the other one failed. I'm guessing that they used made in China parts. They look the same, and fit the same, but don't last the same! Lesson learned do all your own work.

Not working on a damn thing but a good time.:usflag: Ok this wasn't today it was a a few days ago.

I remember when he wouldn't run the Busch Clash because it was sponsored by a beer company....maybe that's one of the reasons he has lived so long?? lol

Machining a dual disc clutch setup....I know but the guy can't find anyone within 100 miles to do it on a Blanchard grinder. They all are doing industrial work these days and don't want to mess with the 'small' stuff anymore.
