meh....not as bad as it sounds really. I have a great dentist, painless. Never felt a thing. Just bored really. Although, he has a crown milling machine that's pretty cool. Had a broken crown replaced. 45 minutes of that time is milling, heating and cooling it down and trimming it in place. I don't have any fear of the dentist or needles. Makes no difference to me. Mine uses the digital needle that looks like thin probe with a cord off the end. Never even felt it.

My dentist is a beautiful mom of three that looks like a supermodel, and is as pleasant as a gentle Summer breeze.

I keep moving along with the honey-dew and the dad-dew projects...building flower boxes from my old deck lumber and my youngest has me building another piece of furniture a farmhouse table. My daughter got the idea of building a coffee/laptop table from old pallets she saw on the web and I turned this in another direction saying it will look pretty ratty so used good wood. She was very happy with it and gave her some training on using power tools. She will get more 'training' building the kitchen table..

Thanks much - it's a heavy table; put it on locking casters and great she cherishes it and can say she had a good part building it. She got a kick learning how to use the tools and picked up on keeping things square and measured right...taking next steps on her own figuring it out while I kept my lecturing jaw shut...much as I could. Nice to think she will want the tools and know how to use them when I'm gone. LOL, the son I never had. Neither of my gals had any interest in cars though...insert sad emoji.

Our son either. But, on the upside he's a PHD holder at 28 yrs old in Theoretical Nuclear Physics...so there's that anyway...lol.

Very. He's the first Doctor in the family. We have several Masters Degree holders but he's the first PHD.

Tried to figure out the bass line to "Burnin For You".

I got about half of it in about 45 min.

It's pretty cool, with even a bit of a "walking" part.

One of my friend's started taking drum lessons, and I'm trying to talk him into trying the somewhat non-standard drum line.

I figured it might push both of us a little.

I believe the going rate for lumber scrap is well above the rate for scrap steel.

Amen to that! Just sold some used treated pine fencing for 75 bucks and probably could have got more! I'll know next time....

I bought this one last week. 61" cut and you can mow at 10 mph. coil over suspension front and rear + torsion bars in the front and a seat that has shocks in it and a setting adjustment for your exact weight. A real pleasure to use.

Think I need to find another dentist!!!!! The one I have ain't bad but based on what y'all are saying, I could use a better one!

Anyways, what I've been doing lately is mostly maintenance which sucks. I did get the starter replaced in my 97 2500 diesel and man, can't remember the last time I had a starter that turned this thing over so good. Only have one good battery right now and it's only a 650 CCA but it fires right up! Not bad for a 24 year old truck. The old starter had been on it for over 15 years and the bolts were really tight. In fact, I could not get the top one loosened but an ox of a buddy of mine got it and even he said he strained to get it! Was thinking that something was going to break before the bolt did but, all is well. And no, did NOT tighten the crap out of it this time like someone else did. And man, what some of y'all do is way out of my league and probably couldn't do it even if I wasn't alll that old....!

One time around 1990 I think, had to do some work in an office we had in Phoenix spending a couple weeks there. An employee, native of the area, took us on a ride down to the biosphere as the company insured it and took the back roads. Don't think any were paved as I recollect...what a neat trip that was through the desert...incredible scenery.

A lot of cursing, but I got'r done! $400 US spinner that I ordered for a specific propeller profile, took a month to get vs the 2 weeks I was promised and the new owner F'd up the cut out and the mounting nut plate locations. What should have been a 10 minute job cost me 5 hours. Profit margin is starting to get pretty slim on this thing... good thing I work for Pepsi and chocolate chip cookies....

Tuesday: Pruned a bunch of tree limbs, high and low. Cut down two tall trees and cleaned up everything.

Wednesday: Took delivery of 10' x 24' (overall) portable building. Front porch is 4' deep. There is a loft over porch and a loft at the other end. Studs on 16" centers and hurricane straps. Floor is 3/4" plywood. No staples anywhere. Metal roof with ridge vent. Anchored down with four "augers" that are around 3' long. Sitting on 20 concrete blocks. Built in a plant near Hotlanta and trucked to my property for installation. Purchased March 5th and delivered/installed June 2nd.

Today: Went back to work to relax . It stormed all day today. Many inches of rain at home. The toads and frogs are happy as clams.
