The backlog at the body shop to paint my Dakota has been weeks (posted earlier about putting on a rust-free box and repop fenders). I’ve gotten to know the owners having painted my ’63. These poor guys are up above their eyebrows with work and can’t find help (go figure). So I’ve been helping out doing some of the painting prep work and asked them what else I could help them with. Did some removal of parts on a car for body repairs and paint. Next will be prepping the box for paint when they can get it inside. Can barely move in the shop with all the vehicles. Lol, when sanding down the fenders I was in a little open area btw a ’67 GTO, ’55 Chevy, and Kia suv on my knees with the fender on top of its shipping box. Not exactly good ergonomics.

Nope... ceiling is good to go as is, someone else has to varathane the door casings. Sure not white washing those red cedar doors.

Believe me, I was kidding. I love the look of natural wood. I've never understood why people mop paint on things like that work of art that you've created. I don't know what the rest of the house looks like but that room is awesome.

That looks good bee, I've been on my renovation for 1.5 years now. Can hardly hunt, fished once on ice last year, spent 5 days on vacation and slept the whole time. I should have started 10 years ago when we bought the ranch. I still have atleast 2 years to go at this pace with a full time job and a 5 year old. Feels nice when things get accomplished though. Wish my car would run lol

Had a busy day playin' hooky from work


Degree'd my buddy's 302 cam, then installed the engine and the trans into his hot rod project, just for mockin' up. He's putting EFI and the trick billet pulleys and fancy water pump and all that stuff on it later. We also installed the Moser rear and brakes......

**To return the favor, he had to go help me haul this beauty home!
A 1947 Kimball Consolette. Needs a tuning and some cleanup, but a nice score.....

Called out to a "No hot water" job on Saturday morning....for a friend's tenant. They just moved in yesterday. I thought it was odd....get there and find the circuit breaker was turned off. Previous tenants must have thought they were saving a few cents. No problem at all.



3.0kW element should be good enough for showers in about 4-5 hours.

Was sick of seeing Chevy engines in everything 40 years ago!! Loved seeing a Fox body Mustang with a Hemi at the LX fest show and race a couple of weeks ago but sad that I didn't see any Chevys with one.

Figured I had the trailer on from yesterdays run for the jukebox, may as well park it outside the next job site. Basement clean out starts tomorrow and then I get to work on Granma's Day Car Center. PLEASE, nobody point out to her that the deck hasn't been built yet either...
