Crazy isn’t it? And, there’s actually an entire industry of packaging engineers to design this ****, so we end up with a bunch of useless packaging. Yay for us!

Yeah, getting everything to fit just right in specifically designed boxes, wrappings and Styrofoam is a whole science unto itself.

Yep, a much better method than my method of putting an ad on my local community website looking for swimming pool solar covers that folks may be throwing away. Some people call it garbage, I call it miles of bubble wrap!

15 year old Weber?? Pffft. Just getting broken in and seasoned. lol

It could even be older than 15 years for all I know? I've had to replace a few parts over the years, but the cover & some other pieces were rotting pretty badly. It served us well using it several times a week throughout all 4 seasons.

Repurposed a 10x20 aquarium stand to be a microwave stand....that was yesterday. Kinda sucks not having plentiful wood working tools anymore but got reminded of why I don't lol. Today was a bit of housework....finished cutting up a spiral cut ham and got it into containers and into the 'regurgitator' then cleaned up some of the turkey day left overs and dirty pots and pans. After that, went out into the shop and did a few odds and ends that I've been putting off.

Drilling the 10 holes for the lift install. This was flat out the hardest concrete I have ever drilled. Burned up a new double cut bit and finally had to resort to a quad cut, and it was still a PIA. What should have taken a couple of hours at most (allowing for the drill to cool), ended up taking two half days.

View attachment 1764445 New washer Day before thanksgiving and the wife is happy. Only 6 year’s of use.

My washer is probably 15 or more....and the dryer is no telling as it came from the SOTR Discount. All it needed was a door switch. Picked it up for scrap but once looking it over, saw that it was pretty nice and then checked the switch. Yup....broken. That 'new' dryer replaced a dryer that was probably 25 years old and on it's last leg.

I replaced mine, plus the wheelbarrow, with solid tires that won't go flat.

Have two hand trucks....one with hard tires and one with pneumatic. I like the pneumatic better unless I'm moving something thats over 200+ lbs.

Bolted down the lift columns today. Floor was not level so a couple of shims were needed. Ten bolts torqued to 125 ft/lbs would not have been a problem ten years ago. Today, they kicked my *** a little but they are bolted down and plumb all around. Guess I am starting to show my age a little (very little)! NOPE, I blame it on the wrench being so close to the ground that it was hard to get my back muscles to help!

My youngest out of the blue a few weeks ago got tickets and treated my wife and I to the Flyers/Rangers game yesterday. 50/50 money got up there. The money people spend down there is insane as it was a packed house and our tickets and parking was $785. Other than traffic it was a great game, great seats and a great time.

EDIT: Best part was I caught a shirt that was shot into the crowd so I gave it to my kid.

I agree, hard tires are good only on smooth concrete. But I use the flat free tires that look and act like they have air in them. I don't know if they're foam filled or whatever, but they bounce like a regular tire.

About 4 years ago, the front burner on our 1989 Weber malfunctioned. Tried but could not get parts. So I moved the middle burner and port to the front. Still working, just have think differently, still would like to find a replacement.
As long as I can turn the gas on, we bbq. Did a Christmas turkey at -25F one year.
