What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I remember, sun up, to sun down. I get tried just thinking about it!! But I truly get it and love following it!
These days I work for 15 minutes (or less) and sit for 15 minutes (or less).....mostly less!

We de-Christmas'd the house starting yesterday. Put all of the containers back under the house ready for next year. Cut the tree up for the green bin, added three Poinsettia's to it also.

I am moments away from extracting the mighty 318 from my camper van. Rain has delayed progress, same with Christmas and New Year. But it should be out real soon. And then I can put in some new bits. Got the wrong shift kit. 10225, should be 10228.

He tells me WD 45. I think the pull is 3500 lbs. It's about the grand kids. He has a few 45's and ton of other stuff that fills three buildings.
I kinda figured it was a -45 since they were using it for competitive pulling. The WD and the WD45 are basically identical tractors with the exception of a slightly larger engine on the WD45.

Took the 'ol beater for a run today. Kinda cold this morning.
Turned the left signal on, made the turn and TINK! my replacement turn signal canceler cancels no mo.....
These new ones do not like cold weather. Snaps the ear right off. Happened before,I'm sure it will again :BangHead:

That's about a 1950 or so, it belongs to my wife's cousin. He has fun building them with his grandkids. He has 17 or so tractors. The farm is just for hunting, grow some crops and generally a fun place for the family. He only planted about 30 acres this year and didn't make a dime, I believe it ended up costing him a few thousand. He was a big time car guy years ago. He had two late 60's 427 Corvettes. He and his father built engines for fun. The good old days!!

Yep, the WD-45's were built from 1953 to 1957. The WD's were the predecessors of the WD-45's, built 1948 to 1953.

Are all his tractors (17 or so) Allis's, or does he have a mixture? I've got 6 Oliver's and 1 John Deere. I lease all my tillable out to a couple of younger guys to do all that hard physical labor, I had enough years of that in the past. Gives me time to tinker with the cars and the tractors.

Made a walking stick for one of the kids in the neighborhood. Word got out that I make them as a hobby.

Had some room left for write offs so I tried Pappy Van Winkle. Wasn't worth it for my barbaric palette.
