Wife and I went out for a drive to buy a fireplace..... a fake fire (electric 2kW) with fake logs to make our unused internal chimney look 21st century. We will hardly use it as it doesn't really get that cold here for very long each year.....maybe a month at the most.

Picture below is the fireplace - stolen from the website....

Thermostatically controlled....remote control and has a few features that will be useful. :) Also went to the Wooden Floor company to check if the Swedish planks in the style I used a few years ago are still available. Going to do our kitchen/dining area in wooden floating floor this year I suspect. Lounge area with fireplace will be carpet.

As long as you’re going with the fake fireplace, you might as well go with fake wood. :poke:

Continued working on my wife's Triumph TR6. Pulling the trans for the clutch replacement and renewal of some seals. First time I have removed a trans from the interior of the car, but that is the normal route, it cannot be removed from below. I particularly like the SFI rated cardboard trans and tunnel cover, lol. Those will be replaced with new polyethylene versions, SFI rated of course, lol.

Sharpening a lot of 24 Gerber pocket knives I bought on a surplus auction site. Net price was about $4 per knife. I really don't need any more knives. I plan to give them away.

Nobody there got a Mopar plow truck?

Tsk, tsk.

This '98 is the best 1500 bucks I ever spent. I don't care what you're driving, when you smack the bank (with the plow turned) hard enough to lift the *** end and throw it into the snow bank, you're not getting out without help! First time I've had to yank it this year... and that's rare. They haven't made a good Dodge truck since about 1978!
