I have a 1965 Belvedere, original faded paint. Do I have lacquer or enamel?
I seen at advance they sale quarts of Lacquer by DuPont Paint. It is already premixed, just pour in your cup, and spray.
I know if I spray Lacquer over enamel, I will have a BIG problem. That's why I am asking if anyone knows.

You probably won't have problems spraying over factory baked enamel. To test, dab some lacquer thinner in a hidden spot and see what happens. I'll bet that all it does is clean the paint. So just compound it, or sand with 800 grit, and spray.

I'm surprised that you're finding lacquer paint for sale these days. I haven't seen it locally for about twenty years.
