Western North Carolina is sooo beautiful especially in the Fall,,,I was a transport driver for 40 years and traveled almost all States and there is beauty somewhere in every State,but Cherryville NC was special because we shared the same hometown name and the people in the area were so nice,,I remember when asked to bring a Areo chocolate bar from Canada,because they tried one on a visit there,and couldn't get them state side,,,so when I made a return trip about a month later,it was with a whole carton of Areo bars,,,good times!

I also thought that some of these photos look doctored. Mine look like they've been doctored, but I can assure you that they haven't. The older ones were taken with a Samsung S4 phone. I don't think it even had the capability to alter the photos like the newer IPhones do. The ones I took last week were taken on an IPhone 7 on standard settings.

You Cali guys are just jealous because the majority of you state is ugly brown hills and scrub brush!!

OK, I know these temps are in Celsius,but the majority of the members think in Fahrenheit,if not told otherwise.So to be clear, -1celsius is +31 Fahrenheit,,,you'll have members in northern Montana thinking the ice age is coming from the north.

Some nice looking photos posted.

We're in Indian summer here. I live in town and my three trees still have their leaves and the lawn is still green. So, I won't bore you with any photos of that.

I had to scour the web to find foliage pics for youins. Talamena Scenic Dive in Talahina, OK (SE Okla.) is probably our most popular place to see the color. But there are lots of other places in the state that see the change this time of year. I also wanted to mention this time of year people like to go to pumpkin patches and corn patch mazes with the kiddos. The moms buy hay bales, squash, pumpkins and Indian corn to decorate their porches and the kids play, pick out their jack-o-lantern punkins and eat goodies.

Not jealous. I just have to drive up to the mountains to see some color.
