Parents bought this TC3 new, and lasted about 6 months iirc. Traded it in for a Plymouth Volare wagon. It was just too damn small for 3 kids.

One of the guys I worked with had a Subaru 360 (cc's!)
A weak man or a strong wind could tip it on its side.
Edit: it was under a thousand pounds, exempt from the safety regs. I had a Kawasaki 1300 that weighed about the same.

1990 Omni. It was a local newspaper's company car that got replaced with a new fleet around '97. Couldn't pass it up for $500 and 6 months later sold it to a co-worker for $500.

First car I had on the road was an 89 Aries K 4 door, drove it about a year and then traded it for an 81 Pontiac Parisienne. I had a 96 Cavalier 4 door for a time when I was in college. I had a 2005 Focus wagon for a winter beater

1970 toyota corolla. 72 ci engine, 12" wheels, I think the car weighted 1500 lbs. Cost me $48 to replace all 4 tires. Was getting 42 mpg @ 65 mph. 4 speed manual that I had to teach my wife to drive. Really a fun car to have. I believe the car cost $1800. Took this photo off the internet.

1987 Chevy Cavalier. The only car I bought new. Put almost 300k miles on it and never changed the clutch. Around 2005, the clutch was going south at the same time that my knees went south too. Since I spent more time in the hospital at the time, it was either sold or sent to the wrecker.

The most cramped was a 72 Datsun pickup. At a little over 6’2” in my youth, my head would hit the roof on ever good sized bump. But it was a good little run-a-bout and I moved in it a couple times back then.

Smallest true car was my 77 Honda Accord. It was actually pretty comfortable, good to travel in, got great mileage, kept the miles off my muscle car and kept it out of the weather, reliable, and was good in snow.

My first car was an 81 Accord hatch in blue, it was 8 years old when I got it. Still miss it, a friend was storing it for me and died and there was drama with his family just as I had to move out of town for a job, so I regrettably abandoned it.

I think my smallest was a 1996 Miata that I put a Jackson racing supercharger on, then upgraded to a DIY turbo. I pissed of a few pony cars and riced out Hondas in the early 00s with that thing. I got rid of it because my back couldn’t deal with the cramped quarters after awhile. Pic for reference but not my actual car

I'm not a big guy but I absolutely cannot stand to be in small cars. Maybe it is a manifestation of claustrophobia but I get really angry if I don't have room to move around. I don't have a problem with MRIs or anywhere other than small vehicles.
I sometimes drive the Wife's Honda CRV, a compact "crossover " SUV but that doesn't bother me.
I like the roomy feel of the B body cars and even the 67-76 A bodies. The early A body cars feel cramped. I don't like mini trucks. I've never rode in a VW Beetle but I don't think I'd like it. I've driven an '84 Corvette and it was fine because it was an open roof model.
Gas mileage has never meant much to me, certainly not enough to suppress my disdain for feeling cramped.
I don't drive huge vehicles though. I don't care for the quad cab trucks even though they are quite popular. I like 2 door, regular cab trucks.

The Dodge truck feels just right for me. I don't know that I'd feel as comfy in a Dakota.
