Hey guy's going to look at a 1974 Dodge Charger on Tuesday July 6th 2010
All I know is that its got a 400/727 column shift, ralley cluster,it's factory black and runs,it looks to me like it has 1971 front fenders with an SE grill?...

Wouldn't an SE have the triple opera window?
What would the car be a Ralley?
Would it have a "P" in the vin for 400ci SE and a "N" for ralley 400ci?
Do you think it's worth $2200.00 Canadian
If I had a VIN# or fender tag I could look it up but I don't so any info you guy's can pass on would be great.

those are defintely 71 fenders and i couldn't tell very good in the pic, but it looks like it has 71 rear taillights too.not sure on the vin for engine code.

yep, those are 71 taillights just like on mine. and i think the 73 & 74 had the opera windows, unless they could roll down.you will have to check the vin and tags when you get to look at the car.

Yes it WAS a SE and still kinda is BUT no operas. So you could try and buy new ones and a new vinyl. Keep it that way. Or I can give you a link to make it into a hardtop.

Thank's guy's but I just past this one up because I just bought a 74 Charger SE with a 440/727 for $800.00 Canadian :) Smoking deal...The car is very solid and only has some small holes in the lower rear 1/4's so minor that the lower inner 1/4's are 100% perfect. The only down side is the car wasn't complete so now I'm looking for bumpers/brackets,grill,headlight,tail lights, both Valences and interior stuff.

My tip, stay away!

This car looks like a cancer (rust) queen. If I was to look at a car like that over here, with rust stains in the footwell and years of foliage build up in the engine bay and elsewhere, I'd surmise that it has been parked outdoors, under a tree for a long time, the plenum/firewall has rotted and water has entered the cabin deep behind the dash.

Leaf litter eventually turns to mud, mud blocks drainage holes which leads to rust. I'd say that thing has more cancer down low than a chain smoking pygmie football team. One look at the car tells me that it is a 'wet' car, you know those cars you just have to look at once and you get the sense that everything is damp, even when it hasn't rained for ages, this is one of those.

Just my observation from those few pictures but if you've seen it up close and know otherwise then good stuff, I hope it turns out ok for ya'!

You're right, I live in Southern California, and if we see a car with a rust spot the size of a dime, it's a rust bucket!, that car looks like it was under water for a couple of years!, I think I can "Smell" the rust from here!
