Wheel/Tire combo for 66 Hemi Satellite?

Replacing stock 14s. What front/rear combination size and backspace will fill the wells nicely, without having to mod anything or risk rubbing?
I’ve read a 275/60 is the max possible (can’t recall specific offset) but feedback sounds mixed. Not sure I need that wide but trying to get what the reasonable upper limit is.

On my 69 roadrunner fronts 225/70/15 7” rim, rears 255/60/15 8” rims. Maybe the rr geometry is different (?) but that combination had a nice looking moderate rake.

You can get p275/60r15 on a roadrunner. You just need to get the backspacing and width on the rim correct. I’ve heard the earlier satellites and coronets have tighter rear wheel wells.

I have 215R70X15 fronts, and 235R70X15 rears on my 1967 Coronet R/T. These '66 and '67 B-bodies likely have the most confined wheel wells of any of the type. I found that 225's on the front would rub the front frame rails on my car, at full turn. I run 70 series, because I like the taller sidewalls. I had 255R60X15's on the back of my 1967 Coronet R/T wagon, but I had to custom make a 15"X8" rear rim to get the clearance I needed. I don't remember the backspacing.

As said earler get the back spacing right. 4.75" to 5" but measure 3 times buy once. Had L60 15 4" bs rubbed on corners. Had to jack down the springs to extend the shocks to change tires. Thank god never had a flat .

As noted above, Installing wide wheels and tires can be a problem on non charger 66-67 B bodies, due to the rear wheel opening design.

Easy answer. Try the rr wheels on the Hemi car.
( and frankly, that's almost exactly what I'd recommend for the Satellite. Maybe a bit shorter/smaller on the front)
Backspace is critical on 66/67 b-bodies.

Thanks. Thats an interesting point about the taller side profile of 70s. The roadrunner has 225/70s on the front but the original owner modified the fender lip to accommodate.

Yes, but no idea what the bs is...

I'm running 245/60R15 on the rear. The issue with going wider is the top of the wheel wells unless you run more spring height in the rear. 255s will fit but rub. The 275/60R15 from my '64 Belvedere wouldn't fit up in there. Even my 245s have a few rub marks.
On the front I'm running 205/65R15. I wanted to get the closest in size to the original 14" tires for the front since I have manual steering.

275 60 on a 15x7 on a 4 3/8 or 4 1/2 bs or a 15x8 with 4 1/2 to 5 bs.

15x4 or 15x5 with a 205 75 front

Mine has 15x7s and 245-60-15s all the way around in these pics

None of mine rub at any time - ft or rear

all stock suspension.
Not sure what the back spacing is though.

edit, I should note. in these pictures I had just installed new front spring hangers that have a second mounting point that lowers the front of the spring about an 1-1/2inch
So the wheels sit up inside the wheel lip opening just a touch as opposed to the pictures of it with RWL tires
