Where did you and your car go today

I kinda forgot how nice it is to drive it, it’s not anywhere near perfect but it’s a blast , paint needs redone and I didn’t hide it either . It also shows how reliable they really are.

Local Cars and Coffee. Bigger turn out than normal. The 1966 Dodge truck is sitting on a 1999 Dodge truck chassis with 5.2l(318). The Challenger is a survivor 'western special' and original Arizona car. AC continues to work well on my Coronet, but soon the Road Runner will come out of hibernation and the Coronet comes off the road for a disc brake conversion.

I LOVE seeing my car in large building windows.

The Charger got pressed into service today for my nephew's wedding. I even used the A/C there and back.

It's fun seeing everyone getting into the spirit of owning a small piece of history. Car shows, reflections of our lives are too cool and a wedding, come on, does it get any better. You guys are a trip!!!!!....... Rolling thunder at it's best!

Perfect, really doesn't exist. My car has it's fair share of squeaks and rattles. If you drive it enough it becomes part of the ride. The ones that are close to perfect usually end up being saved for the next guy, never made sense to me.

My father in law had a 1974 Impala with those clear custom seat covers on it from day one. I always questioned why. When I sold it at the end and the car had seen better days I cut those seat cover off. The car was shot, but the seats looked absolutely brand new. Saved them for who............... The view across the hood doesn't know or care if the rest is perfect, because right there, right now, it is!!............... Let The Horses Run.... Ulli

Learning to drive most certainly counts !

Also here’s a tip, have him learn on the roads in cemeteries, they’re not crowded, and if you give up hope, you don’t have far to take him!

Date night with the wife and outings with the grandson count the most. Family and Detroit iron, doesn't get any better than that!!

Those are a ton of fun to drive! Went over to a friends house Saturday, he lived across the street from me a few houses ago. His fan wouldn't shut off, two relays later, all is well. His daughter had to have a new headlight assembly in her 2017 Buick Encore, huge pain in the ***. Two doors down lives a young man, Ethan, that stuck to me like glue. Before he turned 16, his dad gave him his 68 orange 440 R/T, close to original, except one repaint. His dad goes out and buys a, I think it's a 2016, black Challenger, 6 speed R/T, with around 62,000 miles on it. It was a play car for him, but Ethan took it over when he turn 16. That boy dropped the exhaust for some Borla cat back setup. Then the fun started, not a months later, it needed new back tires. He beat that car like a rented mule and it refused to die. He was **** about the body and it showed, but everything else was fair game. The car was parked in front of the house and looked as good as the day his dad bought it, as of this past Saturday.

After my son passed away, he became my right hand man, working on our G-Body. He wasn't 16 yet, he and I would work, then drive. Later when he turned 16, we went to car shows with his Charger and my Coronet. Today he drives a new blue Mustang GT, an orange 68 Charger, and yes, that black Challenger, which went back to his dad. Ethan helped me in more than one way and it's a time in both of our lives that neither one of us will forget........... Greg, thanks for sharing, be safe.................... Ulli.
