I drove about 30 miles north to my daughter and son-in-law's to let them drive the Coronet for their first time. They each took a turn with me and the 3 grand kids in the back; they all loved it. The weather was perfect; 70 degrees, sunny and autumn leaves turning brown. The car ran great with the new ACCEL ceraminc spark plug boots. I took some photos of my grandson Johnny behind the wheel. He'll be ready to drive in about 15 more years. He wanted to hear some tunes. He meant Baby Shark. Ha!
Got home and washed the car before parking it in the garage.
I am always a day or two late . Saturday I cleaned it up and took it to the last local big cruise night of the year. It made me wonder why I didnt take it out more this year. Saw a factory 66 Hemi ,4 speed duel quad Satellite. Sorry no picture my phone is crap.
It looks like this thread is slowing down for the year.
I hope more of us are driving while we still can...
I drove to Alexander Valley today to see how bad it was.
It was bad. It was burned as far as I could see from left to right.
It nearly burned up River Rock Casino.
Soda Rock Winery's 'Lord Snort' & a barn survived, all else was lost
Before the fire:
Now:
I was relieved to see that this beauty (my favorite in the area) survived. Fire came right up to what is seen to the right in the picture, and that is a vineyard!
Well, got moved in, but the garage is to full of crap for my 65. Stopped in front of my house to take a few things out before it started to rain and the car wouldn't start to take it to storage garage. Don't know if it's the starter or the computer. It just clicks when you turn it over, battery is fine. There it was in the rain in front of my house. I was so mad I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Had it towed to a friends house 500 feet away, all up hill on Thanksgiving. The tow truck driver was very kind and asked me to take his picture, he loved the car, the last thing I had on my mind, but wtf. Got her in the garage and dried her off. It rained so hard that they couldn't move all the stuff around the house to the walkout basement, that's why the garage was full or I would have just pulled her in and then not started again.
