Where did you and your car go today

Took the GTX to my friend who owns the local Midas shop. He installed an original dual piston Bendix caliper I purchased from fellow member @hemi71x over the winter. It works perfectly. It's been a few years since that shop installed one of those on a GTX, but they still remember how, lucky for me.

Me and my LHS went to lunch at El Charro, with my friend. I've put about 300 miles on it in the last 2 weeks. Just an amazing time-capsule and comfy ride.

Off to help keep @Hey-O retired, don’t worry your check is in the mail

Also my boss has a 66 f100, probably a $60k show truck with 408 stroker, with very little effort I think I did better

The fun didn’t stop with work, a trip to the next town to enjoy the car, and look a working gas gauge finally

I had one car that the gas gauge stopped working in. I'd fill it and check the mileage till I thought I might be walking. Filled it and use it as a reference point. I got so paranoid, I ended up just going to the gas station non stop. The whole thing just sucked........... You did good, one less thing to think about.

Me and the LHS made a trip to the shoe-store this morning. The old lady has some new rollers, and looks 20 years younger...

Many years ago, a friend owned a Dodge dealership and when he would get a LHS on trade, he would tell us. Most always they were lightly driven and it didn't matter how many miles they had, they ran a long time if maintained. Back then we'd get them for less than 4 thousand and many used them as second family cars or for work. They rode great and had a butt load of sweet options. That's a really nice one, you did good!!

Yup: I had an 02 300M and I really liked it. Great platform I think and rare to see a nice one these days.

A few car guys hang out in a Safeway shopping center lot on Friday night. It was 109F in Tucson today and the Vintage Air blowing cold made the trip out pleasant.
The 1956 Thunderbird is a 2 owner car that has only had a respray.

Now, that what I call a shopping experience. Pick anyone of the big three and go home happy!! One the eighth day, God created Vintage Air, for those of us that cruise the streets all summer long on those crazy hot days!! I use mine all the time.
My wifes cousin has a red T-bird like that, minus the continental kit. He's had it as long as I've known my wife, 47 years now. You represent us well!! Beautiful pictures and thanks for sharing!!

In 1969, Chrysler would let you have a 440 GTX with a four speed, or air conditioning, but not both. After owning a factory four speed and two factory A/C cars, one in the 90s, and the current one, I'd rather be comfortable than shift.

I only drove sticks till about 75 and then we still had a stick as a family car till 88. They're great, but with these modern automatics nothing is better. My Saleen was a stick and keeping up with it was a chore when you were really running it. The older I get the less I want to do, besides holding on to the wheel as it runs itself, with the A/C on........... Both of yours are sweet, hard to pick!!!

My brother is in town, so popped in an 8 track and headed to natty flats bbq in town, pretty good place if y’all are near mineral wells and want a good bbq joint

One of Theresa"s cousin invited us out to his place yesterday afternoon and took us out to dinner. He wanted me to bring the Coronet. 37 miles of open highway, I'm a mile to the on ramp of the highway and he lives on the highway, 1/4 mile road frontage. I said, I think not on the Coronet. I got home about 10 and brought home enough dead katydids splattered on my Durango that I had to use my windshield washers about six times just to see around the splattered pain in the asses. It's getting a car wash today, before someone sees it and has me put me in jail for murder!! Family, food and a car, does it get any better!!............ Be safe..... Ulli.

After spending most of my spare time on my new engine build, I finally started the car for the first time since the fall, and gave it a bath. I had stolen the carb off of it to dyno the new engine, so I stuck some leaner rods in it and headed out to a local car show at the shop where we built the engine. The car ran great. Here are a few B Bodies that were there.
