Where did you and your car go today

After spending most of my spare time on my new engine build, I finally started the car for the first time since the fall, and gave it a bath. I had stolen the carb off of it to dyno the new engine, so I stuck some leaner rods in it and headed out to a local car show at the shop where we built the engine. The car ran great. Here are a few B Bodies that were there.

I really love the color of your car!! I had a 1971 Dodge Camper special truck that color and my new car art project I'm working on will be painted that color.

Took the wife and convert, to a local car show at a golf course. Had dinner at the resturant. Then went to Baskin Robins for Ice cream.

That takes me back to a very good time in my life. Having had two of them, it's easy when I see yours to really miss both of mine. You and I share a love for Coronets and Darts, that's pretty cool!!
If I had a do over, I'd be owning me a GT 340 right now. When I first got my Coronet I was going through my subdivision and a guy stopped me. He noticed the 5.7 emblem and asked to look at the car. He loved the combination and said he had a 69 340, done, that he would like to trade for it. It didn't have A/C and I just got the Coronet, so no was a quick answer. Today, I could definitely think about it!! Thanks for sharing!! Be safe......Ulli

I replaced that back piece between the tail lights on mine in 1976 or so and it cost me 45 bucks from the dealer!! Try that now!!
During that era Bob Miller replaced the grille and tail panel on Baby Blue. Each piece was $65. The oem exhaust tips for my first GTX cost $12 each. I should have ordered extras.

If we could go back now, I could use a few things!! LOL

Local 1950s diner car show. Was shocked the Coronet brought home best of show. I would have bet the Mod Top Road Runner next to me would have easily won.

But my favorite for the day was the original Shelby 289 Cobra. Not a kit.
