Where's your Mopar truck

97 2500 Cummins w/140k. Bought it 13 years ago....

I was going to start a similar thread to this. I wanted to see how many mile everyone put on their truck. I have owned two vehicles myself since 1998. I bought a 98 2500 5.9 gas truck new and had it until 3 years ago. I put 460,000 miles on that thing and finally sold it as a parts truck. It was pretty rusty in the doors and the metal had fatigued to the point where the doors just flung open twice going around a corner. The truck I have now I bought used. It is a v-10 with 244000 miles on it. Two trucks with over 700,000 miles on them. It's enough to keep me buying Dodges.

Here's mine. Ordered it in Feb 1978. Took delivery in April 78. One of 74 built with the 440. Ran the wheels off of it for over 500,000 miles before rebuild in 2012

Great trucks, all you guys! But, Sixpactogo - yours is really something unique - and the original owner! Way to go - keeping it all these years! If you haven't already, you should submit it to Mopar's monthly magazine. I bet Mopar Action would do a story on it, too.

Damn Jeremiah...sum bad *** Doge trucks there!!! Mine is in the driveway rite now....2004 3500 no spark plugs.

here is my 77 Power Wagon...
440, auto, full time T case, cruise, tilt, factory engine oil cooler and tranny oil cooler

Thanks for the compliments 64BEL. I'm not sure my truck is worthy of much ink. There is not much left on it that is original anymore. The frame and most of the interior is about all. The original engine destroyed itself year ago along with the transmission. Minnesota and Wisconsin winters were not very nice to it either. A couple of Bambie's relatives took out a couple of grilles too. It also got a few upgrades thru the years like replacing the 8 track radio with a CD player and a gear vendor overdrive along with newer style mirrors to replace the 5 X 7's. The rear bumper got replaced with the roll pan and the aftermarket seat went in when I restified it in 2011. I displayed it at the Mopar Nats in 2012 and have shown it at a few local shows but it don't garner as much attention as the bowtie emblems do. That's OK with me.
Here are a few more pics

Reminds me of my Ram. I keep replacing metal as needed to keep up with the salt belt we live in. I don't plan on having to replace the engine, though.:icon_cool:

Okay...as far as the years on our trucks go:

"Orange Monster" is a 1970 W100 SWB Sweptline ex-BLM brush fire truck
"Whitey" is a 1965 W100 SWB Utiline ex railroad maintenance truck
"Yellow Submarine" is a 1962 W500 ex-ODOT plow truck
The white CTD is a '93, ex-retired people horse trailer puller
"Blackie" is a 1982 W150, ex-horse girl hell raiser/rodeo truck turned trail rig

For my next trick...er truck...I present you with today's score. A 1975 (according to the door tag...I know) D600 dump truck sporting 361/np540 5-speed/2-speed Timken rear diff and a PTO operated ram. I'm going to use it to build some roads around here. Think it will haul a Case 580 on an equipment trailer?
