Captured Focke Wulf Fw-190 fighters in USAAF colors, the orange ones painted that way to avoid getting shot down by friendly AA crews.

She seems so lonely just sitting there all by her lonesome self, really sad sight!!!! The lone KC-10 in the boneyard.

Hard to believe but some KC-10's are almost 40 years old.

America's first jet bomber didn't make it into production. First planned in 1944, the Douglas XB-43 Jetmaster was a high speed bomber and attack plane, but it didn't arrive in time before the war ended. Modifying the XB-42 which had pusher props, the jet version could carry 8,000 lbs. of bombs at 420 mph. Two were flown, one survivor is currently awaiting restoration. A very clean looking design with the two jet engines mounted internally.
