The manufacturer sent my son & couple other workers down to install new de-icer boots on the ‘Belle’ when it underwent a resto, couple yrs ago.
Dad and I saw her and The Swoose in the restoration shop when they had stripped the paint off The Belle. You could see all of the names scratched on her on the war bond tour.

I was freshening a couple merc powerheads for a guy around 1985! He comes over to my work bench and looks it over and sees a big intake at the back! he says is that an intake for a lancaster and I replied certainly not for any engines in here, why? He says were restoring a lancaster bomber at the warheritage museum and we could use that piece! Have at it and loaded it into his truck!
I had no idea Dennis Bradley was one of

  • Dennis Bradley, one of the four "founding fathers" of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, died Saturday. july14/2018 (Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum) Dennis Bradley lived for the freedom of flight. He refused to stay grounded, even when he found out his six-foot-six frame was too big for him to fly for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
