Windage Tray ????

They also put windage trays in motorhome 440's. So they must have felt, there was some low RPM benefits too. Not a lot of motorhomes buzzing it up to 7000 RPM, at least not any that I've seen. Maybe the engineers were thinking, a high RPM engine in a motorhome, a couple fat chicks in the back, and a loose convertor, hell, we'll have us a wheel stander...lol

My 440 powered motor home turns 3400 rpm @ 65 mph. That's not considered low rpms in my opinion. I would be lots happier if it ran at 2800 rpms @ 65 mph. There is no practical reason to run the high tourqe low rpm monger at such rpms other than the speed limit nationally was 55 mph in the 1970s when it was built and 55 mph puts the rpms into that desired rpm range. So dont tell us there is no advantage to tray a motor home engine.

I have always used a windage have always opened the stock windows & drilled drain down holes on the other side. Seems logical to me.
