probably accumulative all the snows combinedThat's a lot of snow, but it doesn't look like 20 feet deep.
I'd assume

I'm buying 150 acres next door to Wayne's place. We'll be sharing the road coming in. The first 1/4 mile will be wide enough for us to have our own drag strip. We'll be installing another hangar. I'm looking forward to my new neighbor and neighborhood.don't think there is enough money for me to put up with that !
It started today here.Spring is coming just around the corner!! LOL Clever!
I feel sorry for the people whom aren't as lucky or blessed if you will, to have nice modern machinery to deal with such issues.Yep! Sorry, but after over 20 feet of snowfall since Christmas and pretty much living in the plow truck and backhoe, I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone when it comes to weather...

LOL, "nice modern machinery". A $1500 dollar, 1998, plow truck and a 1976 Backhoe that decides when it wants to work...I feel sorry for the people whom aren't as lucky or blessed if you will, to have nice modern machinery to deal with such issues.
Damn good thing that you marked where that laneway was !
The backhoe and plow truck are modern machinery compared to your beautiful mopars. No ?LOL, "nice modern machinery". A $1500 dollar, 1998, plow truck and a 1976 Backhoe that decides when it wants to work...
Oh, and I forgot my 1965 Zetor tractor.. the blower is somewhere in the back 20...
A stretch, but you're welcome to come and hand shovel the 1200 foot laneway anytime! The backhoe and plow truck are modern machinery compared to your beautiful mopars. No ?
I never volunteered to help with any snow removal I just made a statement that I feel sorry for those who don't have modern machinery to deal with said issues (snow management). No slight or criticism intended. Sorry if I came across that way.A stretch, but you're welcome to come and hand shovel the 1200 foot laneway anytime!![]()
I have a pic of my dad and his siblings sliding down the hill under the wires on the poles at the road. Dunno how much snow it was, but it was a lot. South Berwick Maine, around ‘50-‘52??Yeah well, I was in the blizzard of ‘74(?)in Ohio; THAT was a beatch. Telephone poles with only the wires visible. Nothing can be that bad again, tire tracks (solid ice)12”deep and you couldn’t get out of them to turn.
I have a 20 year old quad with a plow. My brother was here from Connecticut last week and got to help with the midweek snow. He was surprised at how well the quad worked. I bet he has one by next winterI feel sorry for the people whom aren't as lucky or blessed if you will, to have nice modern machinery to deal with such issues.
No worries! Are you saying that you don't want to hand shovel the snow banks back for me??! LOLI never volunteered to help with any snow removal I just made a statement that I feel sorry for those who don't have modern machinery to deal with said issues (snow management). No slight or criticism intended. Sorry if I came across that way.
No disrespect, but that doesn’t sound like a good deal for you in 1979. Your dad recovered all the money he paid for a car he drove for 10 years plus put an additional $981.83 into his pocket. He made a 31% return on his investment he drove for 10 years. In other words he bought a car for $3200 in 1969, and after driving it for 10 years, sold it in 1979 for $4181.83. It was a good deal for your Dad for sure.My Super Bee, he sold it to me in '79 for $3600 @ 10% interest over 3 years. Damn good deal seeing the bugger only paid $3200 for it in '69!
