I had to have my wipers on recently (1st time in over 5 years). Turned them off when I got the car back in the garage and this is as far as the wipers would recede (see pic). How do I get them to go back down into park position ?
tks,

Do they sweep lower when running??? If so your park switch is set to the wrong location. If they don't sweep lower, you just need to pop them off and reinstall.

No, they don't sweep lower, so removing them and re-positioning them sounds like the way to go.
Tks much,

Reminds me.. I need to get two people to hold the wipers up on my Superbird and to make sure mine don't sweep lower than the trim! Thank you !

One wire that is hot all the time parks the wipers. Not sure which wire but that’s your problem.

To help locate the correct position of the wiper arms before installing, tape some
toothpicks and run the motor and see if they go past the trim

You stated that they didn't sweep any lower than your posted picture, so that makes no sense.
The picture is how they worked and parked last week, they seemed to work Ok back in 2017. Now, since then I have done work behind the dash bezel, new switch (roller) that dims the interior lights, not sure of what else. Maybe something with the wiring to wiper switch ?
Tks,

Check the wires at the motor. Key on engine off. Wipers OFF. One wire should have power.
