    Headers?

I have a set of modified Hookers that fit great on my '64 426. Just replaced them with a custom set. They're just sittin' so let me know if you want to try them. They are made for a stock location (and I've run into the 3/4" back issue - but never a 3" forward?!) and go in as a puzzle but not...

    Mini Starter

East Coast Auto Electric has a real good mini. 10 yrs on my Max Wedge race and even at the occasional 105* oat - which translates to about 140* under the car - never a problem - $160. Just got a mini from [email protected] for my street car for $97 at the door. New not reman. Too...

    67 Belvedere Torq-Thrust D Back Spacing

I'm looking for some new ones for my 69 and found that a 10" wheel with 4.5 bksps and a 29" drag tire fits with plenty of room at the fender and the spring. Is a 67 fender that much tighter? I think I'm going with a 9" and a 275/60/15 (28") on the back.

Anyone run a low oil pressure idiot light setup

Yeah, it's a shift light. I figured that would get my attention if I wasn't paying attention - especially how bright it is and where it is. My tach has it's own shift light.

Anyone run a low oil pressure idiot light setup

If you want an auto shutdown fug has a great idea. You can get a variety of psi switches - 15-50 to control that. I put my light on the column below the wheel - very plain sight. Mine is key on - light on, 15 psi.

    Steering Column

Yeah, my thought too. I see now that the shaft is a slip shaft with a flat spot for index, but again, where is the nylon pin spot or a place to put in a cotter pin? I could see it working itself out of the coupler on the gearbox if it weren't locked in somehow.

    Steering Column

As I pull it part way out I see it does have a flat side. Whole column out or can I fix the shaft without the whole assembly out? Where is the nylon pin? Thanks for your help bee.

    Steering Column

But if I sheared the pin wouldn't it not rotate equally top and bottom? Where is the cotter pin and is a cotter pin all that actually holds a 2 piece shaft together? It seems like a one piece shaft. I unbolted the collar in the picture - just under the steering wheel and just pulled - it...

    Steering Column

So, here's the deal. Shaft bottomed out at the bearing onto the collar under the steering wheel. Yet there's still about an inch to go to get it into the coupler on the gearbox?!

    Steering Column

6pack, yeah same here. The key way and coupler are all good but I can't get the shaft to go beyond the bearing at the top collar below the steering wheel?!

will some of you submit some 440 engine pics?

The engine color is year/engine specific (I believe). But paint it purple if you want!

    Steering Column

Swift, I'm having the exact same trouble. Got the column mounted right but the shaft won't go back into the coupler at the top of the gearbox. It's as if the shaft shortened itself by about an inch?! If you get it back in let me know how and I'll do the same. BTW mine's a 69 GTX.

J 12 YC's work best but AC 73's and 74's work good too. Depends on your driving application - ie street, race etc.

    Torsion bar removal

Thanks for the tips guys. I've used vise grips before (over rags and cardboard to protect the bars) with success. But these are being kind of stubborn. There are some things that weren't put together correctly during restoration so... Like a strut rod dangling from the k member! Handles...
