Good eye! The guy at the shop just bolted it on upside down. He never worked on older cars. We finished the engine install and started it up at around 3 this afternoon. It cranked up on the first try! That electronic ignition was put on the car back in 1978 and that is the same control unit and distributor we bought from Chrysler to replace the dual point that the four speed cars came with. I almost put it back in but the electronic is a good upgrade tor the way I will use the car.
Thanks RoadRunner. I was wondering if anybody was still out there! I got the new brake lines and brakes on. The body is buffed and next week I can hang the front sheetmetal and finish the sanding and polishing. Then the dash, steering and glass go back in.
Here is the latest pictures. Got the doors, fenders and hood on. The wheel covers cleaned up pretty good. That is the original set that came on the car.
I really like how your tailpanel came out. :tongue8: Did you cover the letter before painting?
Prep work?
Is Rustoleum's textured metallic similiar if you know?
It is but I could not find it in a charcoal only in silver that was on the first picture of the tail panel. I sprayed it and then used a x acto knive to scrape off the paint in the area of the PLYMOUTH lettering.
