All R/Ts and GTXs were give chrome valve covers as part of the ‘package’ for 67. I don’t believe that carried over to Chargers.
The chrome valve covers are standard on 1967 VIN code L 440HP Chargers, Coronet R/T and GTX.
They are not an option.

A 67 GTX window sticker makes no mention of chrome valve covers, I just looked at one.
It says the engine in the standard features, it is second to last then bucket seats are last. Right below that is the first line with a sales code has 83 “super commando 440 CID engine 4 bbl”
I don't think the OP is disagreeing with anything, I think he asked if they added value to the 67 engine. What exactly do you disagree with?
What exactly do you disagree with?
The last line you typed I’d what I disagreed with. The first part is right. Those 440 magnum Chargers definitely had the chrome vale coversWhat exactly do you disagree with?
I guess I should have wrote that ‘I didn’t know if it carried over to Charger’. R/T & GTX I’m good with, Chargers not so much. Looks like a 67 440 Charger is a very low production number. The last line you typed I’d what I disagreed with. The first part is right. Those 440 magnum Chargers definitely had the chrome vale covers
If you want a "correct" 440 for your Charger, that one is worth what you and the seller say it's worth. But what is such an engine worth?
Yeah, my friend and I are trying to come up with a fair price for his engine. Thought I would ask here. The engine is worth whatever the seller can get, or the buyer wants to pay for it. And what comes with it as others have posted. Here a steel crank 440 could go for 600.00- 700.00 US depending on year or regular or HP. If I put my 68 Chrysler 300 for sale, 440,350 hp I would probably start at 4000.00 Canadian.
How many where HPs?They made 528 67 440 auto Chargers.
How many where HPs?
That is what I thought due to the engine codes for the fender tags. All of them... No LP 440 in a B body.... Those were only used in C bodies & Imperials...
