1968 Plymouth GTX

Hang in there my friend! You are making progress and that’s all that counts. One day soon you’ll be looking back and saying “that was fun and it didn’t even take that long to complete!”
 
I know it can be overwhelming sometimes when you stand back and look at it as a whole. But just keep focusing on one repair at a time and soon you'll be nearing the end. We all have been there.

I have the right upper quarter panel patch ready just need to weld it in place.
 
I weld in the upper quarter panel patch and then removed the old filler from the quarter panel.
Here you can see the used a screw to make holes and then applied filler. Sad because the backside of the panel is accessible in that spot.

The repair towards there rear was more of a skim coat to cover a slight crease in the metal. However I will need a patch for the lower portion.

Started running over the metal with 80 grit on the DA to gets some scratch for the epoxy primer.

Running a DA with 80 grit over the blasted metal not only provides good scratch for the epoxy primer but also can reveal some problems you can address along the way.

Finished up the roof structure patches and decide to get the bare metal covered with epoxy. This is the first coat, I'll put another on in a few minutes.

I have more media blasting to do, a roof skin, floor pans, trunk floor, lower rear quarter patches and rocker panel patch to install.
Need to buy a rotisserie to gain better access to the underside of the car. It all adds up to $$$$$$$$$
 
Wow, I can't believe 8 months has gone by already.
My car has been sitting in epoxy primer in a corner of my garage while I work on other people's stuff. Hope to get some time to work on it again soon.

I was working on a 2000 Dodge Dakota for a guy and he brought me this to work on instead:

He wanted the wings off the interior stripped and cleaned, the truck painted Dodge Destroyer Grey, a new stereo system, new grill, new front bumper, new headlight assemblies, etc. etc.

Putting it back together now and hoping to get it out of here soon.
 
Pulled the plug and ordered the new drip rails, roof skin, floor pan and trunk floor today. All AMD parts.
I have a Dodge Dakota to finish for the guy who owns the big truck and then I can get back on my project.
 
Cool,nothing like a sheetmetal delivery to lift one's spirits! Let me know how the driprails fit. Someone removed them from my Daytona stock car,and I am going to put AMD driprails back on it. Daytona's don't look right without the A pillar moldings.
