Are those shields the same for 69 RR's? If so I wouldn't mind having yours as I am pretty certain my Road Runner is missing them.

Forgot to mention, good choice on arg$#&$# tail panel "really sets it off".

MAN!!!!!!!!!!! I would put that car shine up against any car that ever goes across BJ auction any day. That shine looks like it goes 5 miles deep.

Omg I almost started crying that is beautiful. You will have one great looking charger.

Thanks for the compliments guys. To say I am pleased with the bodywork done by the kid would be an understatement.
I had a little setback getting the top and headliner done. It was setup to get hauled 30 miles yesterday to the top shop on a flatbed wrecker. But mother nature decided to dump rain, sleet, snow and God knows what else on us for the past 3 days. So I cancelled the appointment and spent the last 2 days trying to find an enclosed trailer to use. These seem to be as rare as hens teeth around here in the middle of winter. I found a couple of racers that had them, but use them for storage in the winter, and they also wouldn't take them out in the salt because of the nice painting/lettering on the sides. But just an hour ago I got a call from a friend who located one for me to use. :hello2: So that is back on for next Wednesday.
And some more good news - my motor is done and ready for the break in / dyno. The builder wants me there for at least an hour or so of this 4 hour process, which I think is pretty neat. They wanted to do it tomorrow, but I am so swamped with work we are going to try for the end of next week. So things are looking up for sure.

That paint job is so incredible and it shines so much that you will be able to see a complete reflection, like a mirror, of what ever you park it next to. That way you could change the color anytime you want to without repainting it.

Can't wait to see it ALL together.

Sweet jesus, it came out absolutely gorgeous!!!! I was back and forth between sem hot rod satin black and organisol on my tail panel but you've got me sold on organisol now, really looks great against the gloss black. And definitely some outstanding bodywork, those c pillars are flawless(along with everything else) haha you must be over the moon man, congrats!!

Me too. I almost wish work would slow down a bit so I could get something done on it.

Thanks Speedy. I really like the Organisol too. So much so that I am thinking of having my Road Runners hood redone with it next summer. When that car was painted, we couldn't find any so it is just black with a flat clear. It looks ok, but nothing like Organisol. And yeah - the c-pillars and roof turned out great. It will be a shame to cover them up with vinyl.

You should definitely do it Elk. If you do show some before and after pics of the RR hood

Concur it's hard to cover beautiful paint like that but it's going to look great with the vinyl top and add another layer of contrast to the awesome black paint and organisol and the additional trim for the top.

ok h2e where is more pictures, you got me spoiled gotta see more please........lol

Well there is not anything new to report unfortunately USARR, but here is how it sits as of now. With work, my boys basketball tournament and band concert this weekend is full of non car things. This is ok with me anyway because I want to wait until the car is back from the Top Shop before I start putting things together.

And then it's gonna be a blur as this baby goes back together. Looking forward to the upcoming posts once the top is on, and matter of fact seeing the top on her.

Took a trip to pick up the 24' enclosed trailer my buddy found for me. It was a white knuckle trip on the way home bringing it through a snowstorm and the roads not being plowed yet.

Figured I should get the rear bumper put on so we have something to push on for loading. So it is official - the first parts back on the car. We must have done something right welding the rear of the car together because it fits perfect. Nice even gaps all around :hello2:.

Took a little time to dig out my wiper pivots. Very stiff moving to say the least. I managed to get them freed up by shooting some penetrating oil around the ends, but was worried about that drying out. These are held together with a crimp collar that I haven't been able to locate.

So I copied somebody elses idea on this forum and added a zert to each one. You can see the old grease that was forced out. Now I should be all set with lubed up pivots - kind of a shame that I never drive in the rain and they probably wont ever get used lol.

Looking good H2E ! ! ! !

One part done and 999 left to go ? ? ? ? We'll be right with you every step of the way rooting you on ! ! ! !

Thanks for sharing and posting the updates - one day I hope to be doing the same thing too ! ! !

I sure am hoping there is not 999 more things to do on this thing. I think about the only bigger project left is the window regulators. This may be quite a challenge as I really struggled getting everything out in the first place. I figured I would worry about it later on, and I am now to that point. I did get as far as ordering new roller kits though.
I will feel a whole lot better after the car is back from getting the tops on. This trailer is bigger than I am accustomed to pulling and no fun at all on these snow covered roads. Two 70 mile round trips and it will be back here for good.
