1969 Charger R/T resurrection

Finally had something go smoothly for a change today. The guy came over to install the stripe and had no problems - can you believe that? Kind of surprised me that he put these decals on dry and doesn't care for the wet application like recommended in the instructions. He spent 1 1/2 hrs. and only wanted $40. I gave him an extra $20 and crossed that off the list. Also heard from Dante about the upside down door panel. Legendary is making a new one and expects to ship it in 5 days, so not that bad I guess. Don't know if I mentioned it before, but Dante's is really a great business. A great guy and always takes care of any problems immediately.

Damn that black on black stripe looks good! Good to hear Dante's came good so quickly for you too! Any updates on your wheels?

The wheels are supposed to ship out from California the end of next week. I'm getting anxious to see them.

He does do great work. He designs signs and does a lot of auto decals too. When you look at a clean part of the car, it sure does look like a mirror doesn't it?

I cant fathom the knowledge it took to do this, what is your real job LOL

Definitely not rebuilding Mopars, as I would go broke lol.

Wow elk that stripe is awesome looking, it fits the sinister look and seems to be "one" with the car itself! I cant wait to see you pull this out and take a look at the car complete and sitting there and ready to run man, I know its been a long haul and its nice to see things looking up and right for you!! Very very nice...

Omg I love looking at your car, black is beautiful! Hat satin stripe is radical.

That strip looks just as every bit of good, if not better than I thought it would. Sweet! Must be a pretty talented guy, dry applying a vinyl sticker that big.

Thanks guys. I still had reservations about using a stripe that didn't contrast with the paint, but it is growing on me. I think once the wheels and tires are on, everything will tie together just fine. The most important thing is that the little philly just loves it. And we all know that a happy female is one of the most important things in life.

Glad everything is going your way for a change. Kudos for Dantes and Legendary for making it right on their end. Keeping the wife happy IS important and you can use that to your advantage. Tell her the next one will be even better than the charger. HECK, she may even help work on it.

"Growing on you?" You've gotta be kidding, that's badass! I'm sold on the black on black, that's probably one of my favorite combo's now. Congrats on another step towards VICTORY.

In her mind, a 69 triple black 4-speed Charger is the absolute top of the food chain. Nothing else even comes close. She has wanted one for 30 years, so there will be no topping this one for her. I cant believe I am saying this, but I have already started looking around for the next project. If anybody knows of a SOLID 4-speed 69 Bee preferably T5 please shoot me a pm.

Any wheels yet?

'69 Bee, nice!
Could have bought a '69 A12 rolling chassis back in the early 90's for cheap, it needed a trunk pan. I was young and poor so didn't get the car. Really no different than today just older.
