1969 Road Runner....another one!

did they give you a ballpark price??? they should know prices,, like quarters install $$, drops$$, floor pan$$, etc,,

should have left it here!! after sandblasting,, id given you a flat rate, +/- 20%. there are some shops i blast for, and I wouldn't take my car there,, but, "dont bit the hand that feeds you" i just blast and keep on moving on... be careful!! and kids RULE!!! jc

Jeff, man...honest to God, I didn't know you did that type of work. Honestly bro....or else I would have given you the project. I thought you were just a blasting guy. Yes, they quoted me on each individual task. Again man, I'm sorry.

no biggy!!! we'll get together sometime!!! i'm a bit a ways from you,, send me a PM, where you took it,,

my body guy is sickly good!! he just finished a black aluminium 64 pontiac factory race car... ..., love the pics!! kids rock!! jc

They always seem like more of a hassle than they're worth....till you get behind the wheel. Hang in there Capt, after the frame shop, at least you'll know she's nice and square.

Not a real big update...but getting some things accomplished.

Read this whole story, what a great story! Good luck on finishing this project, looks great so far.

got mine in a buddy's shop getting new skins and repaint. bit by bit they come together.

Any progress no matter how small you think it is means you are moving in a forward direction.

Still kinda amazed you didn't buy the R/T I had! The body work would be done now and you would be half done! Lol. Good work, man. Maybe if I ever get some down time I will come out and check it out.

Swung by the shop yesterday...Floor is in, trunk and rear crossmember out. Bracing in place. Door hung...

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics

Dropped the engine off at the rebuilders today. Should get a preliminary report next week on that. Hoping no cracks are found....fingers crossed. Just going with a stock build. Keeping the same heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. Will be balanced, valve job, new pistons and rods, bored and surfaced. Should be pretty cheap. Anyone know where I can send the carb for restoring?

Also, the welder should be done on January 15th. Then comes the hard decision on trying to determine if I want to tackle the body work with the limited time I have.....or send it out. Decisions decisions.

Thanks

Thanks guys! I'll contact them soon and ship it out.

Darin, I'm using Fowler Engines. They seem to know what they are talking about....but, being a noob....it seems like everyone is more knowledgeable than me.

Fowlers has been around a long time and built a lot of engines. I don't think that is a bad move.

The floor looks great. Coming along nicely..
