1969 Road Runner facelift

I hear you on the snow! Nothing much around here unless you want to drive to the snow belts off superior. I was gonna head to Eagle River this weekend, but the World Championship Snow Cross for ISOC is this weekend. Out and about on the trails, everyone starts thinking they're Blair Friggin Morgan after watching the races and havin a few brews...Last year at the same time I had guys on 440's and 500's trying to drag race my Ski-Doo 800R XP Mod across the lake. A bit annoying when you're there just trying to relax and enjoy the trails.

I hear there's snow coming in the next several days...Keep your fingers crossed!

Yeah, my main snowmobile is a bit slower than yours but I can drag huge fish houses around on lake of the woods with it.

Dave..............That thing is flippin awesome!!!!!! You a groomer? Man you got all kinds of neat stuff around your joint!

The machine is a retired groomer, I'm just a guy that likes to have a machine that can go anywhere on the lake.

The idea is that I can have the same versatility as portable fishermen with snowmobiles and otter sled houses but on a much bigger scale. I can start this thing up and pull a big skid house anywhere I want to go on a lake with no need for plowed roads etc.

I plan on cutting and stretching the cab full length so I can haul a bunch of people in the heated cab. (it will be a 10 person cab when i'm done)

The machine has a 300 inch ford 6 cylinder and a C6 auto trans. It'll do about 25mph on the top end.

Kind of a fun snow buggy.

sounds like another resto thread in the making.maybe you can take out the straight 6 and put in a beefed up /6 from a mopar. LOL. All your different color options on your RR sounds like it's becoming one rare beauty.

Dave....you out hiding on the ice again? wonder if the lake has a PA system.....we could page him to the front desk to tell him to get back to work on the tin chicken again

that thing is radical

:headbang: what kinda milage you getting in that beast?

Guilty as charged. LOL!

Yeah I was out on the lake with the track machine, doing some ice fishing and goofing around.

I really don't have any kind of a feel for fuel usage yet, I haven't owned the machine long enough to find out.

Yesterday was to be tin chicken day but I spent the day in the house watching movies with the kid.

That ole bird is going to give up on me pretty soon if I don't give it some attention.

But this is so much fun....

Great Stuff Dave! The looks on your boys face are priceless....LOL. I'm sure the talk of the town at school today will be how him and the old man pulled that nice Walleye out of the ice. What a great tradition to pass along. Something i'm sure he'll have through his whole life..I can see why the Plymouth ranks a bit lower on the totem. Looks like you had a great day.

he don't like fishing....

much.

LOL!!

That kid gets so excited, it's hillarious.

He does a smile that we call "the power grin"

lol!

LOL!..."the power grin". With a look like that you'd think your boy would grow up to drive alcohol funny cars or be a fighter pilot....

He's the baby of the bunch and he's definately the wildest of the bunch. We're a little worried about him lol!!

Thats a 1,000 dollar look at least.... Love it!

I miss ice fishing. Hopefully someday i'll be able to take my boy out on the ice. I have to admit i'm jealous. Haven't seen too much ice down here in California. I wish i still lived up in Wisconsin.
