1969 Road Runner facelift

thanks guys, the article that mopar muscle magazine did on a charger was the best instructional write up I could find online, I followed their lead the best I could.

Looks great Dave... 2 thumbs up from the peanut gallery...

Looks really good Dave!
I'm definitely bookmarking this one as I'm thinking of doing white vinyl top on my Charger

The seams are kind of a bugger.

Otherwise I guess it's pretty straight forward, not difficult, just time consuming.

Dave, that looks great and thanks for the vinyl top instructions. Saw a car just like yours at Farmington show. Couldn't get any pictures cause my camera battery went dead.

ready for glass

wow my pictures suck, you'll have to take my word for it that there is a vinyl top on there lol!

:)

Head liner first................

Really? oh boy, I better take the afternoon off from work then, I have a guy coming out at 3:30 today with the front glass.

I suppose it might be possible to install headliner after the glass, but I'm so glad you pointet that out because it's got to be 100% easier to do it before the glass goes in. I know that some of these older cars bring the headliner fabric around the windshield pinch weld and glue it there which is then covered by the gasket that captivates the pinch weld. In that case it's a no brainer, the headliner MUST go on before the glass goes in. Big thanks to superfreak for saving me a head of work in trying to fit the front and rear edge of the headliner with the damn glass in the way, wow, that would not have been any fun.

glass is in, headliner, carpet, front seat... good enough for a drive.

Thanks. The bumpers are on, headlights and grill are in. We took it down the road last night, that was kind of fun. There's plenty left to do though.

Dave , I know that must have felt great to get it down the the road even a little bit. Car looks awesome!!!

What do you guys run for fluid in these old power steering units? I usually run type F trans fluid in all my old power steering units, that work or is there some secret mopar steering juice I should use?

alright thanks, I noticed a little cavitation growl from the pump while I was backing the car into the shop last night.
